I'm just glad he doesn't have Roy Williams' big old feet. Those skis got in the way of his route running.

That's right. A sta like small hand or short arms would just make the scouts go back to the tape a little harder. You certainly cna't get away with being a body catcher as muc in the nfl--have to snag that ball with your mitts.

At the combine, the measure hands tip of thumb to tip of pinky.
I just measured mine at 9 5/8 and barely over 6'0". 8 3/4 IS small for 6'2" NFL WR. It's not crippling at all though.
I just looked up Jerry Rice's and they were only about 9 1/4.
The guy who has some mitts for his size is Harris.
I just measured mine and they are 9 3/4, and I'm not even 6ft, so yeah I'd say he has small hands. That doesn't mean he can't play though.

As for pushing Austin off the roster: I don't think this is the case. It will make Austin expendable, but I think Austin will still have value for the team. As others have mentioned, Austin will be a terror in the slot. Also, if Williams is able to take over the outside spot full time, it should limit the amount of plays that Austin sees per game, which should help him health-wise. It may also force Austin to take a pay cut which would help the teams financials if he wants to retire a Cowboy.
