he won't sign that.
I agree. I wouldnt sign for that if I was him. After the way he has been treated in Dallas I would be outta town and trying to make the most money.

Can you imagine sitting behind and a RB you know that you are better than for 4 years? Im glad the guy finally got half a chance to show what he could do.

Cowboys are completely blameless. They probably could have resigned him to a 4 million per year for 3 years contract before this year started.

:hammer:

Don’t pay big money for a fungible position like running back.
Pollard would normally have to wait another season to get his big contract if he was on another team but the one good thing I can say about Jerry is that he treats injured players pretty well and shows loyalty.

I could see Jerry franchising him and possibly getting pollard back on the field at some point of the season

The injury makes the tag even more of the right call.

They made that bed in the first place when they didn’t draft a RB last year.

I’d tag Pollard, and draft one early and late, and make a ceremony over getting rid of Elliott.

We do NOT need a jersey seller Jerry. Spend money on a DT.

Jeez if he listened to the worst of fans they would be better off.
I agree it almost feels like the tag is the only option right now. Tag price for an RB isn't too bad. Go with Pollard/Davis/Rookie and then reevaluate what you do for 2024. If Davis or the rook show they can handle the bulk of carries you can move on from Pollard without dedicating big money to the RB position long term. If Pollard is by far your best back and forces your hand on that extension then so be it. It's really not a bad situation for the Cowboys and Pollard gets a significant 1 year raise.

Draft a RB. Make Pollard a cheap deal. Bye Zeke.

Pollard is not a feature back. Barkley can give you 30-35 rushes a game if needed.

Pollard will give you 10-15 with the occasional 20.
Pollard not being featured is on the coaches or Owner wanting to put a blocker in the backfield to sell jerseys.

Pollard and Barkely are both Pro Bowl RBs, so we'll just see what they if there's much difference.

It really sucks that pollard got injured. I am a big fan of what he can do. But man that looks like a serious injury. I hope he can back 100% or real close to that.

I hope for his and the cowboy's sake he comes back close to 100 percent. He deserves a good payday and a healthy ankle.

I doubt they tag him now. More likely a one year prove it deal.
