Can’t give big money to Pollard, hate it for him and love his game.

Did you read it? Two separate injuries. Broken fibula that will heal on its on. Surgery for high ankle sprain to repair ligament!
This was reported incorrectly.
Shocking, right?
The procedure was to essentially strap the fibula together, stabilize it and then let it heal on it's own.
They didn't put screws instead but did address it.

Dallas has a lot of decisions to make at RB.

Drafting low in round 1 it isn't absurd to take an RB but it also isn't a great use of resources unless the guy turns out to be rookie Zeke.
And it is tough to say I'll draft a dude R1 but then won't pay him 4 years later.

TP was so special this year, but that injury is the real deal.

Zeke can likely come back at a cap neutral cost but its pretty clear he is beaten up and on the downside.
RB shelf life is just insanely unfair.
Teach your kids to play ANY other position.

Who knows if he’ll be back to 100% ? We give him a long term deal with this injury? It’s a tough call.

If they don’t want to go RB high but can wait until Day 2…maybe 3..Kendre Miller of TCU looked great this year. Patient guy who waits for holes and then bursts into them. Smooth runner. 6’0 220. I think Hud skill set translates well. My only issue watching him all year was 2 late season injuries that sidelined him. I’m also a Frog homer

Well you're getting Elliot. So live with it in 2023, he's not going anywhere. Suck it up big boy
Have you looked at the contract details closely ?

Zeke is on the books in 2022 for $18 million their stuck. There is no realistic way to say goodbye to that … until spring 2023,
at which time Dallas could (pre-June 1) absorb a $6 million dead-money hit or (post-June 1) walk away with no financial penalty,” Fisher wrote on January 24.
Here is the kicker your going to pay Pollard probably a 3yr deal for 24-27 million so 8 to 9 million a season. Zeke there is no possible way he is back for his
current salary no way and no how and low production. Even if they restructure Zeke for 5 million a year you can't restructure his production. It ain't happening.
I had stated before I would draft a speedy quick RB and a power RB in the 2023 draft and the average rookie RB would be 3 mil each. I've got two new RB's
on 4 year deals average salary 3 million. Overall we owe Pollard nothing hes a FREE AGENT you let him walk and get a 4th round compensation pick the
following year. Now you have tied up approximately 6 million in a dead cap hit for Elliott in 2023 than your done with both him and Pollard. You have two new
RB's with a total salary of 6 to 6.5 million. Its extremely smart way to do business. You can focus on areas that need improvement. In the draft first round OL only.

It’s a loaded draft class this year. Get a couple of good running backs with their contracts and keep moving forward

I hate it for Pollard, but I just cant give big money to a RB, especially one coming off a significant injury.

Very few, if any, RBs live up to a second contract. Outside of maybe King Henry with the Titans, I just cant think of very many RBs that are worth $10+ million a year.
