Take Zeke money, and what Pollard wants, and invest in D and O lines. Say bye to Zeke, and if necessary due to what he is seeking, say bye to Pollard too.
And Jaylen’s issue was he was too dumb to determine which hole to fill!

Amazing how quickly 2023 has turned into a rebuilding year. With "window" slammed firmly shut.

I'm not sure we need to tag him and IF we do, the transitional is better IMO. It's a 3-4 month injury, meaning can work out or even pass another team's physical in June/July when free agency will be all but over. I don't see ANY team offering significant money before then.

The transitional tag is projected $8.8M for 2023 vs $10M for the franchise tag. IMO a fair deal is 1 year $10M with 5M guaranteed or a signing bonus. He can make the rest based on playing time.

The team is handcuffed by an overpaid declining running back in Zeke....franchising Pollard for a year isn't handcuffing the team....
a tag for Pollard will be slightly above 10, between that and Zeke getting 11 in dead money that’s 21 mil spent on RBs

Zeke needs to probably retire and can we actually guarantee Pollard will be the same? We just made a similar mistake with Gallup

He’s coming off a couple of injuries, one of which required surgery and he’ll be rehabbing during free agency. That’s going to cost him a lot of leverage and there’s no guarantee he’ll return to form. He missed a game earlier this season due to an injury, and some teams may question his durability. Most teams have been screwed paying big free agent money to RBs and Pollard isn’t an every down back.
Tony Pollard is a Pro Bowl RB. Tony Pollard is getting paid by Jerry Jones. TP can do full time work in part time, and his injury isn't going to hinder his price tag. I would be more concerned with Saquan's injury history.

Had surgery today. Had two injuries.

The lower injury doesn't need surgery will heal on its own.

But the high ankle sprain is what required surgery, described by fisher, was a nasty injury. Fisher being told this isn't a 3-4 month injury but won't be ready until training camp.

The twisted movement as he hit the ground is what cause injury. Surgery was successful

Cowboys future, NY giants offered barkley 12 mil per, Pollards price should be less

Shocked he didn't have his surgery a week before camp lol

His injury is going to hinder his price tag. He’ll still be rehabbing when free agency starts. He had surgery on an ankle that could end up giving him problems later on. Pollard isn’t the back Saquon Barkley is. Barkley is coming off a 1300 yard season. He’s an every down back.

Pollard is not a feature back. Barkley can give you 30-35 rushes a game if needed.

Pollard will give you 10-15 with the occasional 20.
And almost every team in the NFL would rather have two good guys that can give you 15 carries than one expensive guy that can give you 25.

I don’t understand why people still assign value to a “bell cow running back.” You’re still going to carry three RBs on the active roster.

I liek my team but only guys you need to keep is like Terrence steel and maybe a corner

If Steele wants to take a team friendly deal sure, if Cowboys learn anything, not to sign huge deals to players coming off acls, Gallup was trash, besides his highlight reel catches. There were made more dramatic, because the term separation does not exist for him, and being a wr in the nfl that should be your best attribute.

Pollard is borderline elite, even franchising him one year is the right move.

Prayers sent for Mr. Pollard. I've really enjoyed watching him play and pray he'll return to 100%

So you think a 3 month injury is a problem during free agency? Pollard would have better numbers than Barkley if the Cowboys had better coaches.

Rehabbing a high ankle sprain that was so bad it required surgery, and a broken fibula is going to be a problem during free agency. It’s left him with little leverage. Teams don’t like spending a lot of money on RBs, especially not one coming off ankle surgery who isn’t an every down back. Pollard would never be as good in another system. Don’t blame the coaches, the longer the season went on the more carries/touches he got. He had a career high in carries this season. Some of you wanted to use him full-time and get rid of Zeke. One of the reasons Pollard has been so effective is he’s able to stay fresh. I can’t see a team forking over a big contract for a role-playing back who’s not a great blocker and is coming off a serious injury,. Philly signed DeMarco Murray for big money, and that blew up in their face, and the Jets signed Le’Veon Bell to a huge contract and he didn’t produce.

Yes, get rid of Zeke he's washed not even a JAG. Pollard would be a full time back if they just used him full time, but it's smart to have two RBs in this league...Dallas had 1 RB and once he got hurt they didn't have a run game. Lastly, Pollard is a Playmaker, a weapon, so he's a bit different value wise concerning money. TP will get between $8M-12M per year.

Pollard is a system back who’s greatly benefited from splitting carries with Zeke. We’ll see how much he gets when free agency arrives but he definitely won’t get 12M per. That’s Derrick Henry money.
