Fisher: Source 'narrowing focus' to Surtain and Horn

Has he after missing the medical re-checks?

You can never tell until the draft actually happens but looking at most current mocks and rankings, medical exam be damned, he's going in the first round. Have teams been able to do their own medical exams? I haven't really paid attention.

I haven't seen any talk of face-to-face player visits with players, which would include medical exams. But I can't say for sure.

Jerry gets vilified for rolling the dice on risky players in the 2nd round (Gregory and Smith to name two recent examples) and some of you want him to do that at Pick #10? No way.....

He's been rising and likely will be a mid teens to early 20s pick based on the mocks and draft guide rankings.

Damn. I might be out on him then. I also don't really know what his ceiling is though so maybe that should play into whether they like him in the 1st.

From what I've read I don't think anyone is advocating him at 10....I think its only for a trade down.

Depending on the compensation for a presumed trade down, I wouldn't hate it but I wouldn't love it either.

Oh I'm not for it. I'm just saying if they are adamant on drafting him at 10...I'd prefer them get some draft compensation in return if they go that route. Me personally.....forget getting cute. Go get Horn or Surtain and turn your card in.

Gee, who would've thought?!

Gimme either and I'm happy. Personal preference and expectation is Horn because I like his attitude and there are connections to both Quinn and McCarthy. Surtain is the superior player, I think he goes just before us, and even if he's there, coaches win and get the guy they prefer

This part makes me uncomfortable since it reminds me of the Parcells/Bobby Carpenter situation.

Randy Gregory love him but you cant rely on him .... DE is definitely a need our DL was awful. DLaw can also kick inside on pass rushing downs. I’d love Philips but probly to much risk for our FO at 10. He’s definitely #1 DE keep reading more about him.
All it takes is some rookie OT trying to make a name for himself in a preseason game to go too long after the whistle and Phillips gets another concussion and is done for his career. Cant take him before 3rd round.

Cause he still needs development, where many believe Surtain is a finished product.

Why though? No one has produced a single argument as to why that's the case. What could Horn do to improve and surpass Surtain that Surtain couldnt also continue to improve at? These arguments make no sense unless one player is a vastly superior athlete.

Captain trade down needs to ride. As Jeff Cavanaugh loves to say. The sweet spot in this draft is between picks 18-75 and we need these blue chippers. We dont need the big name guys. Give me some dawgs that will ball.

Believe the tags are touching, Surtain is a little better now, cause of his advanced technique for the position. Horn still needs work in that area.
