Takk is a stud. For me its (if barnett is gone) takk, watt (11 inch paws my god), taco in the first. I would hate the lawson pick and dont see what people see in charles harris. Also ive read thay we brought in watt for 3 visits. Is that true?

They talked about this briefly on the DC.com draft show yesterday. There are concerns that Takk could start the season on the PUP list. If true, no thanks, not at 28.

This is fine with me if it is indeed true. Takk is somewhat of a project anyways and with him being injured it just doesn't seem like a good choice at #28. #60 is a different story however.

Watt has jumped ahead of Takk in my eyes as far as most likely picks at 28
If I had to pick now I would say its looking like Watt will be the pick, if available.

I think they would value him over Takk with or without the possible redshirt year.

This feels really shortsighted to me. If it's all about next year, we should have spent some money. How do you let 7 key defensive players walk, for the sake of the long term process, then take guys off your board due to 6 games?

If there are other guys in the same tier--fine. But if not, they should take him.

Obvious smokescreen or Fisher is dumb. A labrum is not a big deal. Either he doesn't know anything about it, or he's assuming his readers don't.

If Takk is serious about his rehab, he'll be fine to start the season. This isn't a serious rotator cuff or SLAP tear.

I can't imagine people not knowing this, so I'm guessing they're either trying to lessen his value or a bad attempt at a smokescreen.

Id be 100% on board. Any info on if watt has come in for 3 visits? Or did i start a completely unsubstantiated rumor?
I don't think he's come in for 3 visits. It probably means they've met with him 3 times. Like met with him at the combine, met with him at his pro day and had him in for an official visit.

It was like Dak last year who they were all over during the senior bowl and every opportunity they could to meet with him. That usually shows a strong interest in a player when they do that.

This team needs pass rush help now, not next year. The odds of getting significant numbers from a rookie are bad enough without the guy missing all of the offseason programs and likely a part of the regular season. The Cowboys don't have the luxury of waiting a year for McKinley, even if he were that good.

But it's not like he was an unquestioned, Jaylon Smith, top 5 talent before the shoulder surgery.
Exactly
If this was Garrett then the talent is worth the redshirt but I'm not sold on tak being anything more than what we have now

Gun to my head, I would have likely been choosing between Harris, McKinney and Watt, probably in that order. Now it's between Harris and Watt if I got to make the choice, but I still think they *could* throw us a curveball and take a CB.
