Fix the trenches

A third round pick is a premium pick. It’s a top 90 player
Borderline, but semantics really aren't all that important in this discussion. One late 3rd at a position in 7 years is pathetic.

Its going to take some time and effort and I seriously doubt our front office has what it takes. Been a long time since we were simply focused on the basics... and I don't expect Big Mike has what it takes. Prove us wrong fellas....

Dallas upcoming draft
1. DT
2. LB
3. S
4. OT

even if Cowboys go 7-9 or 8-8, a top DT should be there. It’s not rocket science.

That's fine. I like Ceecee. However, until we fix the D, Ceecee will be irrelevant. We cannot afford to do it again.
I think the first round could go better for us this year as far as trench players. I dont think the top DT's are as good as Brown/Kinlaw, but I think Barmore and Wilson are just below and should be within our range. With more assets this year, I think we can afford to be more agressive for a player we want without comprising our draft.

Disagree completely, and it's more than fair.

We have invested heavily in 3 tech types. There have been many many prospects w/i reach over the years, and we ignore them. And it's led to this clusterfudge. Bemoaning guys who go before you pick is silly. You gotta get players from the field of guys available when you pick. We simply don't take 1 techs or S's. And it's costing us dearly.
I want a D'Aaron Payne type guy. I was high on Brown last year. Some people comp'd him as a Fletcher Cox type, but I saw more as a Payne type. Stout, powerful, not a sack finisher but gets a major push

I don’t blame you. But Cee Dee is better than any other player we could have taken at that draft slot and that how it fell this year.

We have drafted in the trenches but the value has been on offense instead of defense when we picked. We forced the Taco pick and look where that got us. What would you give to have a solid starter anywhere on the team, instead of Taco, the bust.
I like CeeDee bigtime but the reality is he is nice rims and a thousand dollar stereo on a car with a rotted frame.

Problem is, Verdict, that's what we always say. No one was better than Jaylon. No one was better than Byron. No one was better than Connor Williams. No one was better than Sean Lee.

It's not one player, it's consistently taking flash and odd/injured players.

And I already love Ceecee as a player. Kid is tough and a gamer. Nice addition. However, it didn't put us any closer because our D is so bad.

Not many as good as Fletcher Cox. But one just like him would be just what the doctor ordered.

I agree, my brother. But we forced the Taco pick. I’m so glad we took the player this time. Cee Dee will be a bad dude for us. Legit.

I never saw the comp in Brown tbh. Nothing against him, I liked him but I didn't the same burst and twitch in Brown. Brown plays a lot stronger however. I always thought Payne was a better comp

Brown would have been pretty good.

It’s the back 7 that’s the problem not the front 7. They don’t help in run support, and can’t cover. Trysten Hill has become a really good player if you know how to watch film. It’s not our pass rushers fault we can’t have any type of lead so they can have a chance to rush the passer.

No, it's the front 7, and then the back 7. And it all sucks, no reason to make excuses for any part of this crapp D. Our DLine consistently gives QB's all day to throw and can't stop the run. What about them makes you say they're even competent?

Ah, I got it. This is Jerry's account!!!!! Really want to get some more CB's, hey Jerry?
