Yes. I do support all 53 and I have the right to criticize as well. If you were really paying attention you would have noticed that I pointed out two main things about TO that piss me off as well just last week. You probably never noticed that..

So why aren't there any of these little threads "Mason > TO?"

Don't kid with me. It's obvious you think that Romo's the main culprit here. Romo's passes have sucked lately, yes. However, Romo's not the one blowing blocking assignments. Romo's not the one committing illegal formation penalties. Romo's not the one committing false starts at the worst time possible. Romo's not the one running incorrect routes. Romo's not the one jogging his routes. It would also help if a receiver would be so nice as to at least attempt to knock the ball down?

Romo makes a lot of mistakes. When he's put under pressure, he often throws interceptions, and when he tries to make a play happen he fumbles the ball.

HOWEVER, Flacco's receivers play harder, stupid penalties are lower, the run game works, and his defense is phenomenal. Put Romo as QB in Baltimore, and I think while he'd have less production, he'd have more wins (and he'd win in the postseason).

This December slump was existent before Romo, so it's not "just" Romo and it's not "mostly" Romo.

Let's remember how godawful this team was when Romo wasn't quarterback.

I'm all for bringing in competition/a viable back-up. But that's not going to solve all of our problems. Neither is having Flacco behind center.

Then either drop the Jessica paparazzi or learn the game. There is no correlation to a QB getting laid and bad play.

Hos, all due respect, I probably know just as much if not more about "the game" than you. I've played it at a high level and still play. I also know the ins and outs of the internal dynamics regarding conduct as a player. No. Getting a piece of *** isn't going to affect your play but spending too much time involved in the Hollywood lifestyle that your girl wants you to live will.

No it won't. Paparazzi stuff belongs in the Off Topic Zone.

Well that's kind of silly, how many turnovers did Flozell have?

How many times did Romo turn the ball over while trying dig the Cowboys out a "1st or 2nd down and long" hole caused by a penalties on the offense?

The point I'm making is that nothing that happens in football does so in a vaccum--everything is interrelated. To assign credit or blame to one person is foolish.

I had Flacco on a list in reply to a thread regarding the top 5 current QBs and was lambasted for it a month ago. Does anyone still think Flacco is just an average run of the mill QB?

Flacco protects the ball. Perhaps he should teach that skill to our 67 million dollar man.

Flaco usally gets all day to throw on any given pass. That would make anyone look like a good QB. Romo has a strong pocket awareness and can feel the pressure and elude tacklers. I would like to see Flaco behind the Cowboys offensive line. I doubt he even puts up a QB rating above 70.

The difference between Flaco and Romo is, the Ravens could have just about anyone at QB behind that line and still be headed to the AFCC. We have seen how the Cowboys are nothing without Tony Romo at QB. Flaco is just along for the ride, Romo pretty much carries the Cowboys. Like it or not, when Romo went down, the Cowboys did, too. Johnson killed this team. Speaking of Johnson, even he would play good behind that Ravens line.

Seriously.

People say that Roy gets dumped and that's why he sucks.

People say Romo's getting laid and that's why he sucks.

Bleu, why don't you answer your own question?

Is Flacco greater than Romo?

Sure.

I think Flacco brings some very good skills to the QB position. He has a tremendous amount of poise. There's something to be said for a rookie starting on the greatest stage and somehow managing to avoid spontaneous combustion. Sure he has great coaching but he also has great skills that will continue to grow as he spends more time in the saddle at the NFL level. Some may point to him just being a bus driver right now but he's a rookie that's driving a straight line. Some might say that eventually Bmore will need him to do more... Well, judging by the way he has played this season there's no doubt he will progress and be ready to assume additional responsibilities when called upon.

I think Romo has the ability to become an amazing quarterback. He's elusive, extremely poised in the pocket, and makes pretty good decisions. How could someone not love a guy that came out of nowhere to take the Dallas Cowboys by storm. You can't help but love a guy like Romo and want to root for him to succeed. I'm in that camp. At the same time I am probably a little more critical of him than I might be for a QB from another team because he's running the team I have grown to know & love. I hold him to a higher standard. That's just the way it is. He has to learn to protect the ball better and, more importantly, throw the ball away instead of closing your eyes and chucking it p there with hopes that it lands in the right hands. I also want him to care more about the game and become a real leader for this team both in the locker room and on the field. Only a very select few get to make it to the level he plays on. He should consider it a true honor to quarterback the greatest franchise ever IMO.

That the way I feel about both QBs...

Man... People thought TO was protected by galvanized steel... That pales in comparison to the force field around Romo. You ask a question about golden boy and all hell breaks loose.

Agreed, but you started a thread that would make readers think that you are actually pondering the thought of Flacco being greater than Romo right now.

Again, I bring up the second Giants game. If Romo is the same guy you described as having excellent awareness and attributes but not having the right "frame of mind", why would that guy keep getting up? Wouldn't this 67 million dollar man just take it easy and really let Brad Johnson run on the field in place of him?

One day, Romo will be gone and his replacement will be a mediocre bus-driver like a Joe Flacco (and that IS all Flacco is, as of today).

But we won't have a dominant D and run game to support our young, mediocre QB. We'll struggle mightily and be lucky to win 6 games.

Only then will some folks realize how stupid they were for taking Romo for granted and suggesting a guy like Flacco is the better player.

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about but just for kicks.. What's my opinion on Romo since you're obviously writing my autobiography.
