It is getting as bad as the one off season when it was all about the Get Rid of Insert name here movements.

I had Flacco on a list in reply to a thread regarding the top 5 current QBs and was lambasted for it a month ago. Does anyone still think Flacco is just an average run of the mill QB?

Flacco protects the ball. Perhaps he should teach that skill to our 67 million dollar man.
Joe Buck could play QB with a great defense.

Flacco has some good weapons but the Ravens are not asking him to carry that team. He had 14 TD and 12 ints hell Romo would catch major hell for that. Trying to compare what the Ravens ask of Flacco and what the Cowboys ask of Romo is not even close.

The Ravens CANT ask him to do much more than that BECAUSE they don't have the same players around Flacco that WE have. Mason is not TO. Can you tell me who their 3rd WR is? Because i sure as hell cant without looking it up first. Its either Figurs or rookie WR Marcus Smith. They BOTH COMBINE for ONE CATCH in 17 games.

Really because their line looked like it could block ours has not. I know the only people you see are the star players but nothing is done without the play up front. Flacco does have talented players around him and an excellent defense so that the coaches are willing to run it on a 3rd and long and put it in the hands of their defense. I like Flacco but trying to compare the 2 sitation is flat out stupid

Eli had a Flacco like performance last night. Minus the lucky TD & adding 2 INTs.

I guess the whole offseason is going to be riddled with silly threads with either a < or a >.

Whooohooo...viva la offseason.

I see this dumbfounding thread still has legs.

Don't hate. Participate. I asked a question and received some good answers despite the plethora of Romo strap supporters jumping to his defense. He is not untouchable and can be openly discussed without anyone wanting to just simply get rid of him. If you find any spot in this thread where I specifically pointed to "getting rid of Romo" I will give you a great big virtual cookie.

And I did respond. I did not say Romo was untouchable or open for discussion. I did say what the Ravens ask of Flacco is much less than what is being asked of Romo. Flacco has 14 TD and 12 ints? Cowboys fans would be jumping his **** for that, hell Romo produces much more than that and catches hell. Ravens are a team who is looking to run the ball and play defense and that is how they win games not because Flacco is carrying the team, on 3rd and long Ravens run it then punt it in Dallas Romo is expected to make it. It is funny though when Dallas would run a simular offense as the ravens with BP fans hollered he was coaching not to lose.

I gave at the office in this thread, bud.

No Tony is not untouchable, but Flacco is not greater than Romo.

At this juncture, yes, Flacco > Romo.

I will take a so-so quarterback in the playoffs any day over a highly touted QB who is on his lounger watching the playoffs on TV.

I'll do my best to hold off the dogs as long as I can but get your mace ready.

They're coming.

Like I said, 4 minutes left, down by 9 points (2 scores) who do you want as your QB, Romo or Flacco?

Anyone who says Flacco has their head in the sand.

Aikman. (oh that wasn't an option... my bad) :)

If you can't discern a difference between Baltimore's offensive play calling and Dallas' offensive play calling and the the onus which that play calling places on the quarterback, you need to reevaluate your knowledge of football.

Actually no re-evaluation is needed. They just need to actually learn the game.

Maybe we can teach them by taking a different tact:

Even if we acquired Flacco, he would be largely worthless to us if he came without Baltimore's defense.

You assume they grasp the worth of the Baltimore Defense simply because they know the names Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.
