I guarantee you that if that was a Dallas player that did that, he would be suspended.

Anyone who has a problem with these fines is being hard headed.
Clove;3187460 said:I'd like to see every third fine collected by the NFL given back to the fan for all our support. They can give it back by allowing free tickets for some "fan challenge" or whatever, but I don't see anything wrong with the player giving back to the fan sometimes.
Not all the time, but every now and then.

Cajuncowboy;3187456 said:I don't have a problem with the fines per se. I have a problem with how out of whack they are from each other. Now if stokley would have intentionally threw a forearm to the head of the official, then 25G would be appropriate. But when you look at the two incidents, knowing one was blatantly intentional (Fletcher) and one was in all likelihood and accident, it preposterous.

AdamJT13;3187472 said:There's a set schedule of minimum amounts for fines.
A flagrant personal foul (first offense) is a minimum fine of $10,000. That's what Fletcher got.
Physical contact with an official is $25,000. That's what Stokley got.
A verbal or other non-physical offense against an official is $20,000. That's what Ochocinco got.
Everything else, from uniform violations to fighting to taunting, has its own predetermined amount, as well. A second offense has a higher minimum. Some have possible suspensions attached. The league CAN fine a player more than the minimum, but they usually don't for a first offense.

J/K
That hit was viscous and I am surprised Crayton did not receive a concussion. He was shaking his head to get the cob webs out right after.
If Bradie James would have done that he would of been ejected.

Rampage;3186979 said:I don't think it was Fletchers fault that Crayton was being tackled from behind. that's what made it look so vicious. if Crayton wasn't being tackled he probably would have hit him in the chest.
Boyzmamacita;3186933 said:Normally, Wade Phillips complains about these things, but he's got more important stuff on his plate right now. I'm just really glad that Crayton seems okay after that. It was vicious and intentional.

just think about it. he hit him in the head while he was being taken down from behind. if he wasn't being taken down from behind he probably would've hit him in the chest.Eskimo;3187483 said:Whatever, you turncoat. The opposition tries to take our guy's head off and you say "so what". That isn't good enough, anymore. I want the league to punish Fletcher and if the league won't do it, we need to do it ourselves the next game. No more "Mr. Nice Guy" from us. I don't care if we pay a fine or a short suspension - we need to let the league know if they don't take care of this stuff than we will.
Yeagermeister;3187499 said:Just for the record this pic isn't what it looks like. The Rams player ran in to the ref and that pic is the aftermath. The ref didn't throw a punch. :laugh2:
