Gotta say I can understand a drop in attendance. The "hamster wheel" record... the defense minus it's best 3 players. Romo coming off of back surgery. There's a lot of doubt out there and the team isn't considered one of the better in the NFL.

Hey it happens.

Honestly every time I've made the trip to Oxnard it really isn't worth it. There is two fields and they practice on the one farthest from the crowd. It's really hot and when the practice ends, if the stars sign autographs they go to the VIP area or the VIP children's section. Mostly it's only the dudes who won't make the team that sign most of the crowds dallas gear. I've done it 5 years in a row and skipped this year cuz it's always the same old thing. Only year where they were outgoing was hard knocks yeah cuz they were on camera.

The point is, everyone, people are losing interest. Finally after 18 years of mediocrity. Loyal fans, anyone that would put up with this mess for the life of a person from an infant to adulthood, is a fan. So whatever Jerry's trying to sell the fan, is starting to lose it's power. At least in Oxnard.

Damn...this is bad news if attendance is this bad at training camp! If there were at least 137 more fans attending, I think the Cowboys would have a better chance this season. Stupid cowboy fans!

Go ahead and say it. I mean, you post Screaming Steven Smith and the crap that he spews...what is the difference? lol

I view them as entertainers. Plus there is a balance there with Skip who is a Cowboys homer. I thought Florio was a respectable reporter.

Oh, noze! The Cowboys are doomed! Doomed I tell you! I bet in the next 3 or 4 years nobody will ever follow the Cowboys. Poor Cowboys...

A balance! Really? With that fool Smith screaming over everyone and not letting anyone get in a word edge wise? You are entertained with that crap?

Did you read where Screaming Smith is in hot water because he said something about women that get beat down by their football spouse is actually their fault? That the women should know better than to taunt the man in their life and that is why they get the beat down? That it's not necessarily the players fault for ***** slapping his woman because she should have know better?

Yeah, real entertaining....

Yeah, that is what he's trying to sell and apparently you bought it! smh

The punk is backtracking is what he was trying to do. But, if he floats you boat, have a good ride.

The Cowboys may still be America’s Team, but they’re currently not Oxnard’s.

Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram has been mentioning the attendance at training camp. As pointed out inSaturday’s one-liners, only 3,503 total fans showed up in the first two days.

When reporting that number on Twitter, Charean predicted that the Cowboys “should have a big crowd at the kickoff Saturday.”

And only 4,279 showed up.

That’s a total (abacus engaged) of 7,782 fans in three days. Washington, in contrast, drew more than 11,000on Saturday alone at training camp in Richmond.

Last sentence in article:
It could be that America’s Team no longer is. If it ever really was.

The Commanders are in the middle of Commanders country. They wouldn't have a dozen people there if they practiced in Oxnard California.

The Cowboys had huge attendance when they were in San Antonio, TX. IIRC, they set records for TC attendance as compared to all other teams.

Should've never left San Antonio. Maybe Jerry will bring em back.

Dude, it does not mean **** if there are not fans at training camp. The less the better IMO. Less distraction for the players. Training camp is not for a dog and pony show, it's for the Dallas Cowboys players to learn and get ready for the real games.
