LOL......the whole article is to prove that the Cowboys are no longer "America's team" but the irony of this is that such a manginess article proves why they ARE America's team lol. What other team is getting notoriety for their lack of "interest at training camp"? This is ridiculous lol.

There was a whole article?

When do tools like Florio, Rapaport, Peter King finally stop becoming somewhat relevant. I can't wait til these 'insider' guys with all their 'scoops' that usually turn out to not be true are no longer needed.

I view them as entertainers. Plus there is a balance there with Skip who is a Cowboys homer. I thought Florio was a respectable reporter.

I wanted to address a mix-up for you. Florio has never been a reporter. He was an attorney by trade who started a football rumor blog. His ability to compile rumor and news and add a spice of humor into allowed him to build his site into a must-read. He then signed a very lucrative partnership with NBC which allowed him to leave the law business and focus on his site full-time. He now has a credible site for news and rumors and whatnot, but he was never a traditional reporter. He was an aggregator of news like many other blogs.

Should've never left San Antonio. Maybe Jerry will bring em back.

San Antonio has them practice on field turf.

The only reason why I care about them practicing in Oxnard is getting adjusted to the time change thru the preseason. That and the team seems to have lackluster years when they are in Oxnard versus being in Texas. Not sure if that is a coincidence or not.

I couldn't care less if only a dozen people showed up to training camp or of the entire Republic of China showed up.

He basically used the Perez Hilton model to get where he is today.

I will say that his site is perceived as credible by many fans. I still think he is a joke. He has more credible contacts than he did in the past where his only contacts were player agents and 'scouts' that suspiciously has the same exact verbiage.

The Cowboys may still be America’s Team, but they’re currently not Oxnard’s.

Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram has been mentioning the attendance at training camp. As pointed out inSaturday’s one-liners, only 3,503 total fans showed up in the first two days.

When reporting that number on Twitter, Charean predicted that the Cowboys “should have a big crowd at the kickoff Saturday.”

And only 4,279 showed up.

That’s a total (abacus engaged) of 7,782 fans in three days. Washington, in contrast, drew more than 11,000on Saturday alone at training camp in Richmond.

Last sentence in article:
It could be that America’s Team no longer is. If it ever really was.

One easy way to squash this. What is the average attendance record ?????

Sounds like the fans in Cali can't see what's being built here.

I was there yesterday and it was nice not having to fight the crowd... also there was alot more seating this year than i remember last year. but again that could be because there was lower attendance.

Good.

I want this team to fly under the radar. They're young, hungry and just naive enough to put something together this year.

Exactly, we don't want this team getting a big head coming out of Oxnard. Every year, the team thinks much more of itself based on shear volume of fans. This year, no way, you got to earn it. No one respects you anymore.

When is the last time we have not recorded a sellout...either at home OR on the road?

The question was about attendance numbers. Having the stadium with the option of having the largest capacity in the NFL would definitely effect those numbers, would they not?

As for your question, sell-outs and attendance are two different things. Stadiums that are 85% full (attendance) could also technically be sold out (sellout).
