Florio is doubling down on Belichick to Dallas if McCarthy flops in playoffs

The only concern for me would be McCarthy's impact on Prescott this season as the play caller. McCarthy helped Prescott with fundamentals and he seems better in the McCarthy offense.

Who takes the OC job if Belichick is the HC? Will the QB take a step back?

Yeah because Belichick only worked with the greatest quarterback of all time

I love Big Mike more than most on here. What he’s done over the past three years is amazing, and especially what he’s done with Dak’s mechanics for this past season.

Having said all that, if we lose today I wouldn’t be against this move. It would be embarrassing, and humiliating. I mean in all reality, we lose and Philly advance and make it farther? Unfathomable but realistic at the same time.

If we do lose the whole organization needs a shift and an alpha like Bill. That’s the only thing I could ever see working.

I like the offense we run now.

The defense would be better at stopping the run if the personnel was right.

He does get a little stupidly aggressive at times, but if Dallas loses today it won’t be because of McCarthy directly.

They are as set up as possible to go far, but it’s almost as if the entire long drought is blamed on MM…and they are NOT the favorites in the NFC. That goes to a team with a GM that goes out and gets the necessary players they need to win now, not one thats worried about signing draft picks years from now.

Nice post. That’s why I said if this doesn’t work, Bill might be the alpha that can get that part of the organization corrected. Like Big Bill almost did

This sounds like something that’s more like Jerry’s idea of motivation, so this was leaked.

Anyone could get this team pumped to play today, but they are still going to shoot themselves in the foot at times.

Is that really on the head coach? Is he supposed to scream at players and tell them to stop being stupid, or should we stop drafting stupid players?

Jerry wants to try to steal a pass rusher late in round two. The trade off is he is a numbskull with penalties. Mike is supposed to do what? Cut him?

Jerry would have to make serious changes to get Belichick here, which isn’t even such a coup anymore.

If you think about it, there’s no way this is real…. it’s Jerry trying to pull a Jimmy with the headline crap. Again.

It depends. But if you can upgrade at coach, even if you have a good one, you should consider it. Whether it's an upgrade, I don't know.

Drafting stupid players is compounded by keeping the same stupid players.

When a player on a Belichick run team rarely did something stupid they would take THEMSELVES out the game.

No coach here will ever get rid of a Jerry picked player unless Jerry makes that choice

There's a lot of good that MM has done...he does not deserve to get fired, especially with the decade precedent that Garrett set.

MM had a mulligan his first year i'm sure most of this board would say it was fairly successful fighting the skins to the playoffs until the end with no Dak. Bill could be the 10% upgrade or it could be 20% worse.

If we lose today, the owner is so old the 10% upgrade is worth it because the 20% has already happened with the crap shoot that the first round exit will bring. Let me know if that makes sense.
