Florio's suspecting a Crosby to Dallas trade during the season

Agree

Lets give CP's scheme of "Rushing the QB by committee" a chance first.

Perhaps a blue chip edge may be required but no sense jumping the gun and overpaying for damaged goods.

Overpay when one really believes they are ONE player away from getting a chip.....keep your powder dry until you're ready to use the blunderbuss
.... they did heck of job yesterday, against one of the best offense's.

If it works, then they can use the money on GP.

It’s not an indictment of his ability or commitment.

It’s all about timing for me.

His value is at its highest the sooner we can get him.

This team is better with him ready to go in week one, not week nine.
On that I totally agree

Only one of three trades last year had good timing. I’m not holding my breath.

Feels like this keeps coming up just to keep the clicks coming, but I'd be very down for it.....obviously depending on the price. Crosby is a beast with a high motor, just the kind of player you want on this defense.

This defense could be something this season. We don't know yet, but adding his presence could really turn this into a damn good unit.

Florio is just looking for click bait. Crosby won't be a Cowboy.
and I bet you said we werent making no deals before last season. Jerry turns 84 in October. He knows the clock is ticking. I would be surprised if we didnt get Crosby.

Not sure how I feel about it. He's obviously been great, but I personally think his decline is closer than many on here want to believe. I'll say this, that I wouldn't be too eager to give up very much for him, and especially if it's not right now. If he's not here for half the year it should definitely not include a 1st rd pick.
I keep hearing rumors that Pickens + picks for Crosby is what they want. I'm out on that.

Right now, that deal between the Cowboys and Raiders is nothing but speculation until it's not. It's entirely possible that the C-boys could gain even more by a deal for a good OT to help their cause.

He’s the same age as Quinnen
Exactly, many DE players produced into their early 30s…. Bruce smith had 7 straight double digit sack seasons starting at age 29. strahan, Jason Taylor, Jared Allen, Kevin Greene, Chris Coleman, Ricky Jackson, Cameron wake, John Abraham, Robert Mathis etc etc…..all had multiple double digit sack seasons after 29 years old…some of them like 16+ (strahan had 22.5 and 18.5 sack seasons, and Mathis had a 19.5 sack season, both of them at 30 or more years old).

Flashy edge rusher would be nice, though I'd be happier with a bona fide offensive tackle (or two)
What's wrong with the 2 starters we already have? Consider, last year the Cowboys had the #2 offense in yards and #7 in scoring team in the league.

On the other hand, they were dead last in defense giving up the most points in team history.

Still want to spend the resources on OT's?

I think we tend to be too precious with draft picks. Look at teams like the Browns, Jets, Cardinals, and Raiders that live in the top of the draft every year. It's gotten them nowhere.
Because they are some of the worst ran teams in the league. High draft picks each year won't fix what's wrong with them.
