I looked back at his college career. Looks like he played tackle and guard but no center. But a guy could spend the off season learning the technical parts of a position. I sure would just to make myself more valuable. I really like the edge he plays with and I think with more reps he could be a player
He definitely might not be able to make that transition, but it can't hurt to give him a try. Look at Connor Williams, we moved him to guard as a pro and he was so-so. Miami moved him to center and he was playing at a high level there before his injury this year. Bass already looks like he might be a better guard than Williams ever was (and I often defended Williams on this board as a decent but not great player, one with good technique and movement skills but terrible strength). Maybe he'd be a better center, too.

I’d sure look. If for no ther reason to have position flex. It’s all about the snap to me. The blocking is easy and calling the line cal kk s can be helped. If he can get the snap down the rest should be easy. He played both tackle and guard two years in college so he wasn’t rattled by the chalkenge
