Given time to think about the fine I'm sure TO is regretting making his initial statement. I'm thrilled with the game he had against Alt I think he did a great job in that game but there is no way anyone can or should defend this type of act by TO. I don't want him suspended for this because no other players have been I do think he deserves the fine like any other player would be.

True.

Personally, his punishment is not very important to me. What I do take interest in is the fact that some people think that this is acceptable behavior knowing full well if T.O. was wearing an Eagles jersey and he spit on Terence Newman people would be calling for his head.

This guy is a lose cannon and we fans should be extremely worried about him costing us yardage or TDs (if he is booted out of the game like Sean Taylor was) for doing something stupid.

Mickey works for the Cowboys organization doesn't he?

So I can see why he doesn't want this to be made a big deal. I mean, we could possibly lose TO to suspension, particularly with the Eagles coming to town.

No, Mickey doesn't have an agenda in this. ;)

Seriously, though.

So what if it happens all the time. It's still disgusting and wrong.

Having said that, the suspension talks are ridiculous.

The league doesn't even have tape on the incident, and commentators like James Hasty, Skip Bayless and others are saying TO should be suspended.

I won't be upset if he is, seeing how I was never really a big TO supporter.

But looking at this objectively as I can, you shouldn't treat him any differently than other "spitters," especially when there's no evidence to back up Hall's statement.

And even though TO said he did it, he's now saying it was a Bill Cowher situation. Even if I don't believe him, without proof, it's TO's word against Hall's and at least what TO has going for him is he admitted it. So the burden of proof on how "severe" the spitting incident was rests with Hall and the league.

hell I don't want them not to fine him but this crap is getting tired and overblown. It happened TO apoligized without even telling what happened and now everyone wants to act like he is the devil. Fine him sure but he isn't the friggin second coming of satan cause he spit on some guy. Let alone some guy that is a blowhard and a whiner.

No one ever said he was the second coming of the devil but some of you act as if nothing he does is wrong and then turn around and blast the media or talk your BS about other players and how they act while excusing what TO does? Give me a break wrong is wrong no matter how you want to spin this and the root cause of these problem is TO and his action and behavior. It is a black eye on this team but what is ever more of a black eye is how some or our own fans will look the other way just because he is a member of this team as if that makes it alright.

I don't believe for one minute that TO is regretting what he did when he thinks about the fine. $50k would be chump change to him.

ok lets say I was talking to you and spit on you, someone asked me if I spit on you and I apoligised for it. If it wasn't something that mattered in the grand scheme of things why would I spend an hour defending or denying it?I would say I did it and apoligise for it. TO isn't exactly good at communicating his thoughts in words. I am not taking up for him at all, it was a scumbag thing to do but no one knows what happened but those two guys.
If we're yelling at each other and spit is flying because we are amped up I don't consider that spitting. That's not what he's being accused of as I understand it. Spitting is intentional.

I love this...

TO calls himself a man for apologizing and fans also think he's a man for apologizing...

So what does that make him when he spits in someone's face like a coward?...

It's like the guy who says "I'm a man for taking care of my kids"...

Here's some late breaking news...

That's what's EXPECTED of you...

Including NOT spitting in some guys face...

And you think he's a "man"...

You guys are friggin hilarious...

Who cares what he did it was in a game of football, this isnt a life lesson, He didnt murder anyone, spit on me I will let you know how I feel about it not cry to the media you *****,Be a man and take care of it right there and then , not after, Thats a punk imo

And the other part of this many miss is TO just let it be known you can get in his head and make him act this way.

So what happens in the playoffs when DBs are yaking in his ear?

Is he going to haul off and shoot a lugey in their direction and get ejected from the game like Sean Taylor?

That's the problem with TO. He speak too quickly and doesn't pull himself aside to reflect on his thoughts.

He got blindsided by the interview because he was sssooo eager to get on television and TALK.

SHADDUP!

My gut tells me that he is one and done in Dallas. I'm sure that BP is sick of this weekly mess.

My fear is that he does something to screw up our playoff run in a critical game.

BP got rid of all the other loose cannons on this team during his tenure. This is no different.

I've never heard of non malicious spitting in someone's face.

I've heard of spit flying accidentally. That isn't what TO apologized for.

how do we know that?
they said hall accused him of spitting on him and TO said he was sorry. Deion said thats just something you don't do man, TO replied I am sorry I just wanted to play my game and the guy was jawwing back and forth with me and I am man enough to apoligise.

thats not word for word but thats the basics of it. I just think people are making way more out of it than it was. And hall has said some stupid BS through the years, Both guys are pretty abhorant human beings and I am not gonna hate one over the other cause one of em accused the other of spittin on him

Yep.

I bet the cush Birthday Presents he received last week in total value are worth more than the fine will be.

The Maloof Brothers will probably pay for it.

Spitting on someone isn't a life lesson?

And what is this about being a "man" and wanting to fight people?

Is walking away from a brawl now a symbol of not being a man?

Some of you guys have primitive concepts of what it means to be a "man."

While I think this is overblown, I don't think there is any doubt he did it. TO is an idiot what would make you think he didn't do this?

I will say this if Hall was running back to the huddle instead of getting in Owens face it wouldn't have happened. It did and it shouldn't have though. those are the clear cut facts.

Yep.

Like I said earlier, I guess it wasn't enough for Owens to catch 2 TDs on Hall and completely embarass him on TV.

He needed to spit on him to seal the deal].

I consider that spitting.

But it seems to me if that's what he really did, he would have said so immediately.

There is a difference between spraying someone and spitting on someone. But I and my sons still refer to spraying someone while talking or shouting as "spitting" on them.

I agree on some level but does a man then go and whine about it to the media?
When I was a kid one of the first lessons my dad taught me was not to be a tattle tail. Fact is hall had a chance to prove somethign on the field and he failed. So then he whined to the media about something that honestly doesn't matter. Then goes so far as to say TO should be suspended? Why cause Hall is so much more important to the world than every other guy that got spit on? they are both immature little punks that won't let anything go. Its all unmanly in my book
