Deion just said TO said he didn't mean to do it, said the question was unexpected and he didn't think about his answer. That his automatic response was to apoligise.

And you believe that?

On a lighter note, I really do think Owens should fire his Publicist Kim what's her name and replace her with Irvin and Sanders.

True.

But the potential is there and he got lucky that the Refs didnt see it.

I remember when Taylor was kicked out, the guys in the booth thought it was too heavy-handed to kick him out of the game because appeared that he was just talking trash to the opposing player but upon review, the camera revealed what the Ref saw.

T.O. got lucky.

And you want to talk about the most overlooked thing? To me, the most overlooked thing is Owens is playing with a torn ligament in his finger that if he so choosed too, would cost him the season and he caught 2 TDs and helped us win an extremely important road game.

Instead (just like the Super Bowl with his broken leg), everyone was forced to look at his negatives instead of his positives.

That sums up Terrell Owens' career, always a but after you give him a compliment.

He is a great player But...

He had 2 TDs vs Deangelo Hall to propel the boys to a win But....

But But But :D

- Mike G.

Maybe TO would've punched him if his fingers weren't all jacked up. :laugh2:
But seriously, hitting Hall would've been just as talked about as spitting on him. TO would've been wrong either way, but because it's TO, people find EXTRA fault with what he does. Yeah, he brings it on himself, blah, blah, blah. But do you really think the talking heads would be saying "Yeah TO manned up and punched somebody"? No. They'd be saying what a cancer he is to have on the team. Bottom line, TO should've 1) Ignore Hall's words and 2) Proceed to burn him for 2 TDs. Well, one of two ain't bad.

explain how me giving him the benefit of the doubt is any different than you throwing him under the bus?

its funny how you like to talk trash about the "apoligists" but you assume TO is a liar and Hall is the man in all this.

how is you blindly believing hall not the exact same thing as those that blindly believe TO?
of which I consider myself neither by the way

Here we go and I guess all the former players who have shady off the field adventures don't get by either with you huh?

I can go on and give you a huge list, Please don't make me drag out these skeletons, You wouldn't like to hear the allegations

Any time a player does something wrong it reflects on the Cowboys. When Irvin got stupid with his off the field issues yes that reflected back on the Cowboys and helped to make us the laughing stock in the NFL and helped to destroy this great team we had in the 90's along with some other player who felt they could do anything they wanted. I don't expect Saints but I do expect any player who wears this uniform to keep his ars out of trouble and conduct himself as a professional and while what TO did was not against the law it was unprofessional and classless. I have been a die hard fan of this club for 45 years but that does not change what is wrong and what is right and only a hypocrite would justify this behavior based solely on the fact that he is a member of this team.

Im going off of what the guy said in his interview after game.

And your wrong about T.O. being a liar, the entire point of my posts is in fact that T.O. isn't a liar.

I believe what he said in his interview 100% after the game. Accept for the part about him being sorry for doing it ;) .

ok then explain why when he said after he wasn't ambushed on camera that it was an accident why if he wasn't a liar before why he is lying about that? If you don't lie then you don't lie, so TO said later he didn't mean to spit on him so then that must be true huh? At no point in the interview did he say Ya I spit in his face and I meant to do it.

Who cares about Hall...he's not a Cowboy...he's not on my team.

But I'll bet if he was....the same people defending Owens would be crying about how their player got spit on.
:hammer:

Right on the firggin' :money:

Clarifying something I said earlier. If they were screaming and spit flew I don't consider that spitting. You can't aim that. You can aim spit and hit someone in the face. That's what makes it intentional.

Two guys yelling and spit flew...big damn deal.

Your right but those guy also did not stay around long, Landry would not allow that for long. He would give a guy a chance but if there was no change you were gone and that is fact.

Dude Primitive, You just didn't come out here on a football board and use the word "primitive" HEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHH We are talking about football players not rode scholars here. Primitive:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Of course, if we were really primitive we'd crack skulls and drag away the cheerleaders as the spoils.

We have written and unwritten rules that are in place to make sports enjoyable and to preven them from becoming barbaric events.

Act like you have some common sense.

I agree on some level but does a man then go and whine about it to the media?
When I was a kid one of the first lessons my dad taught me was not to be a tattle tail. Fact is hall had a chance to prove somethign on the field and he failed. So then he whined to the media about something that honestly doesn't matter. Then goes so far as to say TO should be suspended? Why cause Hall is so much more important to the world than every other guy that got spit on? they are both immature little punks that won't let anything go. Its all unmanly in my book

Maybe this was Hall's way of getting back at TO.
Seems like it worked.

You don't apologize for something you didn't do.

There's no question he spit on DeAngelo.

The question is "how" he spit on DeAngelo.

We don't know if he sprayed him or lugeyed him.

I would assume if he just sprayed him, he would have said so.

I also would assume if TO lugeyed him, DeAngelo would have run to the refs with the evidence of TO's spit on his face.

How the most watched receiver in the game couldn't be seen spitting on another player is baffling to me, I must admit.

Somewhere the truth lies in between, IMO.

It wasn't asked of me but I'd like to answer.

I refuse to defend someone who has admitted they were wrong.

It's really just that simple.

If he were surprised by the accusation and there was no footage of it I would defend TO and assume that in the heat of yelling spit flew.

He apologized and I'm cool with that, but I do not comprehend defending him when he has admitted something. What is there to defend?

I agree. Regardless if Hall accepts the apology or not TO did publicly apologize for his action and that is commendable. It does not change the fact that he will likely get a fine by the league and rightfully so.
