In the heat of the battle, I suppose that these things happen. However, if I was in TO's shoes, I would have simply sucker punched Hall. I saw Deion do this once when the refs weren't looking (during a T-day game in 1995 vs. the Chiefs). Deion's punch was caught on camera, but I don't think that he was even fined, and there was obviously no penalty.

Spitting on someone isn't a life lesson?

And what is this about being a "man" and wanting to fight people?

Is walking away from a brawl now a symbol of not being a man?

Some of you guys have primitive concepts of what it means to be a "man."

Dude Primitive, You just didn't come out here on a football board and use the word "primitive" HEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHH We are talking about football players not rode scholars here. Primitive:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Like I said before...this is a great character test (predictable results, but a test none the less).....for Owens and his apologists.

I agree on some level but does a man then go and whine about it to the media?
When I was a kid one of the first lessons my dad taught me was not to be a tattle tail. Fact is hall had a chance to prove somethign on the field and he failed. So then he whined to the media about something that honestly doesn't matter. Then goes so far as to say TO should be suspended? Why cause Hall is so much more important to the world than every other guy that got spit on? they are both immature little punks that won't let anything go. Its all unmanly in my book

Touche, Thanks for putting to words what I was thinking:bow:

But the most overlooked thing here is T.O didnt gety a penalty or hurt the team during the game for his action.

t.o. did it
t.o. should be fined just like everyone else thats done the same thing.
but in the great scheme of things it is a classless move and he should have a huge fine but i don't think it's as big a deal as some make it out to be. hall is a punk and a dirty player, while thats no excuse i think it's funny he is talking about the spitting and not his horrible coverage.
fine him 20k or so and move on. this is not the first time and won't be the last ime this happens.

T.O. was 100% wrong , and get punished..

That being said, What kind of a man gets spit in the face and runs to Momma.

Wouldn't you think he should have leveled T.O. if he we're a Man.

Only thing some of us are making a big deal out of is how some will defend TO no matter what. What TO did has been done before and when it has happened the player is fined but to see people twist and spin what TO did just has some of us baffled. I don't think this act deserves a suspension nor do I think he will get one

True.

But the potential is there and he got lucky that the Refs didnt see it.

I remember when Taylor was kicked out, the guys in the booth thought it was too heavy-handed to kick him out of the game because appeared that he was just talking trash to the opposing player but upon review, the camera revealed what the Ref saw.

T.O. got lucky.

And you want to talk about the most overlooked thing? To me, the most overlooked thing is Owens is playing with a torn ligament in his finger that if he so choosed too, would cost him the season and he caught 2 TDs and helped us win an extremely important road game.

Instead (just like the Super Bowl with his broken leg), everyone was forced to look at his negatives instead of his positives.

That sums up Terrell Owens' career, always a but after you give him a compliment.

He is a great player But...

He had 2 TDs vs Deangelo Hall to propel the boys to a win But....

But But But :D

He hurt the team by committing a classless act which reflects on the Cowboys as long as this idiot is on the team. Just because the ref did not see it does not make it any less of a classless act. Sorry this ideal that winning justifies bad behavior is not one I subscribe to.

Deion just said TO said he didn't mean to do it, said the question was unexpected and he didn't think about his answer. That his automatic response was to apoligise.

Who cares about Hall...he's not a Cowboy...he's not on my team.

But I'll bet if he was....the same people defending Owens would be crying about how their player got spit on.

Here we go and I guess all the former players who have shady off the field adventures don't get by either with you huh?

I can go on and give you a huge list, Please don't make me drag out these skeletons, You wouldn't like to hear the allegations
