You’re complaining about sample sizes but want to throw out an incredibly subjective standard like “beat good teams through the air”?
I'm not the person who said it.

From looking at the game breakdowns I only see two games the Pittsburgh game his rookie year and maybe the K.C game last year. Don't really see no other games but I could be wrong though.
I think the above 2 performances are actually pretty similar. Both played just ok in these performances in my opinion. Both would have played better but had poor showings from some of their offensive supporting casts. I usually am just defending Romo for this game because most people tend to use it to criticize him and vice versa for Dak.Yeah they aren’t the same. Let me give you an example. You get on Dak for the slow start against GB in the playoffs, but we had Witten whiffing on a block, Butler with his dumb penalty wiping away a 1st and 10 in the red zone, and TWill letting a ball bounce off his chest on a wide open pass all contributing to the first 3 stalled drives. But it’s all Dak in your opinion because he threw a few incomplete passes and we should have scored more than 31 because other teams scored more at home against GB.
Romo or Dak playing QB in the exact same situation should both be excused as it was others who were the cause of that slow start. To avoid that start the QB would have needed to be perfect, and neither QB was ever perfect. You expect Dak to just overcome those mistakes. Did you expect Romo to overcome other players mistakes, like Crayton dropping a pass in 2007 or blame him for missing TO in the red zone on 3rd down?
No. Now answer my questionSo did he not throw 3/4 passes deep that weren't catchable yes or no?
GB at GB wasn't the last one but he beat them through the air, even had under a minute before half and led the team down the field over 90 yards to score a TD. Last season he had 3 straight games of at least 3 passing TDsWhen was the last time he beat a good team through the air?
Wasn't it the aggressive nature of Romo that made him so unpopular with fans?An example of Prescott''s conservative nature was the back to back deep throws out of bounds. Didn't want a chance of the interception, and the over throw in the end zone to Rico. Those were unsuccessful conservative throws. Grow a pair
No, it was the mistake prone RomoWasn't it the aggressive nature of Romo that made him so unpopular with fans?
That's a lie. You answered your own questionNo. Now answer my question
I'm only talking about the ones he messed up on not drops and other mistakes but I'll give you that.He missed some throws he should have had completed. On the other hand WRs dropped balls that hit them right in the hand. And also there were times when positive plays that Dak made got called back due to flags on the offense cancelling out the play.
But, Dak gets the sole blame for having under 200 yards. When he could have had more if some balls were caught and those if drive killing fouls weren't made by the offense.
Potato potato. Comes with the territoryNo, it was the mistake prone Romo
I can go on pro football reference too and dig up Kurt Warners or tom Brady stats in Super Bowl wins too that dwarf brad Johnson and beaten down Manning.Brad Johnson 18/34 215 yrds won Superbowl. Peyton Manning 13/23 141 yrds won the Superbowl.
Further context is out there for anyone interested. The point Adam is making, rather resoundingly, is that passing yardage is not among the most determining factors to whether a QB leads his team to victory.
No further context needed.
There are a few reasons people are against Dak
1. They cannot let Romo go and they blame Dak.
2. They blame Dak for Jerry and Son cutting Dez.
3. They started off arguing that Dak was not any good and they are invested in his failure.
4. Their pet cat QB was not drafted instead of Dak.
5. He had a down year compared to his first year (which happens a lot ) and they are overreacting.
6. They do not like that he is not a traditional pocket passer.
7. Did not like his college team.
8. Think he is too over-hyped.
9. Think he parties to much.
10. Do not like the way he looks (and that is as far as I am allowed to go on that subject)
I think Dak will be our franchise QB for a long time .......I love the kid.
Sigh. It's hard for me to believe that people are this naive. Both Manning and Johnson won because of dominant defenses. Like I said above, correlation does not equal causation. Generally speaking guys pass for more yard when they're behind. That, in no way means that passing for fewer yards (even in an efficient manner) gives you a better chance to win. It means that you don't pass as much when you're winning.I can go on pro football reference too and dig up Kurt Warners or tom Brady stats in Super Bowl wins too that dwarf brad Johnson and beaten down Manning.
BTW .......is this from our own Cowboy Zone poster to Bob Sturm?
