I'd trade Roy for Ed Reed in a NY second...

But I don't think the Ravens would trade Reed even up for Roy.

Of course you would .... because for the last 2 years we have been getting burnt on long TD's

Now if we had Reed and this conservative D plan was letting people RUN all over us for 2 years we would have people saying

"man I wish we had that Roy Williams who plays for the Ravens .... that guy would not let Alexander run all over our defense"

So then you saw where he gave up about the same amount of TD's as all other safeties that are considered great, and yet you are unhappy? Maybe your standards are unrealistic?

I compared him to Reed because apparently every safety strives to be like Ed Reed, I did say apparently.

And 2 TDs more isnt too far off from "the man."

We didn't need Roy against the run. Stopping the run was actually something our front 7 did well this year. We needed him to help us stop the big play, and to keep the TE from tearing up the middle of the field.

So when he wasn't a liability, he was just superfluous.
