I'd be disappointed after the year this team has had if we don't get to the super bowl, but at the very least I'd like to see us win 1 one playoff game and get to the NFC championship game...I realize no rookie QB has lead their teams to a Super Bowl in the past, I'm just hoping Dak can be the first and with an improving defence, just maybe.

After 20 years of nothingness, if the season ended tomorrow, I'd be thrilled.

I love the building process, and I like a totally dominant team, we are not there yet, but it's looking good.

Just because a rookie QB has never taken a team to the Super Bowl doesn't it will never happen. You don't win 13 games in the NFL using smoke and mirrors. This is a very good team. And as much as you hate the idea, this is a good team with Prescott at QB.

I'm not saying they are going to the Super Bowl. I'm saying they have a chance. This team has flaws, but they are no bigger than the flaws our future opponents have.

Back to the rookie. Which NFC QB would you rather have? I'll give you Aaron Rodgers. Wilson? Maybe. Eli? Nope. Matt Ryans next playoff win will be his first. Stafford is good, but he's done nothing in the playoffs. Cousins? Don't make me laugh.

I know that if we lose a game, you will pounce on Prescott as the reason why. Whether it's 7-6 or 50-49. Stephen A Smith plays this schick. Hecwill beat his cheat and talk about how he is always right after the Cowboys lose. Thats his act. He like a bad Broadway actor.

We are 13-2 with a rookie. I'll take my chances with him.

Betting against a Rookie QB winning a SB is an easy bet,,
I'm with you, I will gladly roll against the odds and take my chances the hard way with Dak.

Amen. Never can predict what will happen in one game showdowns. The present club has as good a chance as any club. The Cowboys need to stiffen the Defense in the off season, that goes without saying...but, they are still solid enough to win this year. The offense is dynamite and surprisingly the Defense has played very well. The team also has that most important element heading into the playoffs...Momentum. That can make the difference between one and out and going all the way.

Yep, on to the playoffs and in its wake, yet another year ahead to improve our talent level and to challenge for yet more postseason glory. This team is entering a new era. To me, it quite hopefully signifies this team's implementation of yet another good draft and continued success. ;)

Nothing short of a Super Bowl is a wasted season. One great season doesn't guarantee one the following season.

How many Panthers and Broncos fans felt they were going to have a great season this year?

Exactly. Fortunes change from year to year. It's the nature of today's NFL unless you're the Brady/Belichik led Pats. When you have a Cinderella season, you need to finish it because there's no guarantee that you'll be back again.

We're much stronger this year than in 2014...

The statement was accurate.

Dak simple executes this offense more efficiently than with Romo, not to mention better health on D and a better o-line and RB, than in 2014..

The 2007 and 2014 teams don't compare...
Even if you argue the two teams are roughly equal on offense, I'll take this team's defense hands down over the 14 squad

unless you are brady and bellicheat the league changes every year dan marino went to the superbowlhis first season and never got back this league is littered with next years champions as in 2014 when you have a chance like the cowboys have and you don't finish how many games you won in the regular season don't matter two much its good for stats but not much else

Marino went to the Super Bowl in his second year. Not his first. That was the closest he ever got. Dak and company must seize this opportunity!

Has a rookie ever made it to a conference championship? Big Ben? I forget.

Our 3 all pro olinemen don't get hurt, I we had lost 1 of them for the season then it would hurt our offense significantly.I advocate drafting olinemen high next year too to replace Free.

Dallas with a veteran QB and a better D had the same win record (and the 2016 team has one left to play) and the Pats were undefeated that year in the AFC with Moss and a prime Brady. Your nonsense is often funny but sometimes tiring.

Yeah it's nonsense to think a rookie QB hurts your playoff chances.

Only in this fantasy land.

The same people not acknowledging the negative of Rayne being a rookie would fall over their feet praising him for winning it all as a rookie.

You get honest talk from me. Few can tolerate it.

Yes, Roethlisberger made it that far, pretty sure he's the only one.

Which must mean starting a rookie QB in the playoffs is a non factor.

The correct answer to the original question was no. 2014 had an experienced and superior QB under center.

No rookie has done it.

Why not Dak?
Why not for us?
Why not now?

Nobody said it can't be done. Just that the odds are against it.

Let's put it this way. If we entered these playoffs with the same QB but with 3 years NFL experience under his belt the Cowboys would have a better chance at it.

Agree with that above statement and you agree that a rookie QB is a negative that hurts the team's chances this year.
