Forgotten addition

I think Logan Wilson has been more of a steadying presence rather than an impactful force at this point. I have a feeling his instincts will show up in a positive way at some point in the season.
This.
And I agree, he will make a big play at some point.
I believe there is a stat he leads LB's in INT's over the past 2 or 3 years. I know he made big plays with INT's for the Bengals.

Logan Wilson has pulled the Unit together. Dallas's Strength is their D-line. Wilson and Overshown have come together. They are the shot callers.

With Wilson in the middle, we no longer have LBs running around like chickens w/ their heads cut off. He calls the D. Ss seem to be in the right place also.

He's not that fast or athletic. I don't notice him out there much and they're still playing Murray quite a bit.

He's already been an important part of the current run defense, especially in the mid area. If he's able to ramp up his pass coverage, in like manner, it'll be a noticeable boost for the whole defense.

We talk about Q and for good reason, but what are your thoughts and observations on the play of the other deadline addition….LB Logan Wilson, thus far?
I thought Logan didn’t get many snaps yesterday

He is athletic. It was one of his plusses.

Speed is adequate, but quickness is more important in the middle anyway.

Is Murray playing over Wilson? Thought he was more of an OLB.

Agreed. We've seen Overshown make more plays with his speed to the sideline. I think Wilson shows up in knowing where to be. If he hits his fits, this helps the run game because the back has to shift to a different hole that may clog up with a lineman. Usually if the run defense is improved, the DL deserves credit but so does the MLB.

We seem to leave Murray out there a lot for coverage. That should be his strength but he gets turned around a lot. Can't say Wilson has shown that he needs to be the coverage linebacker more than Murray, though. I think his strengths as reading the QB in short zones and playing the run. When he has to chase receivers downfield, he's overmatched speedwise. Murray isn't overmatched speedwise, just instinctswise.
