I blame Moore. I blame Moore for continuing to feature Zeke.
Blame Jerry. Moore and MM just do as they are told.

Also. I think Zeke is going to surprise this year. Just a gut feeling and I have faith in him.

Judge me all you want but I think Zeke is going to surprise a lot of people this season.

He may be correct but it is hilarious when a guy who is a has-been and has been fired for poor performance tries to say someone else is washed.

MT hasn't been with an NFL team since 2018.
Zeke meanwhile had the 7th most rushing yards in the league last year.

All I can say is- he better hope Zeke doesn’t show out this year,…. Because the headline will be:

“That’s why he’s titled FORMER GM”

LOL......cmon buddy, just say it! You know you want to!!

By overall, all you really mean is that Zeke is the better blocker right? Thats all he is better at. And really, who cares?
Dude not even, your entitled to your own opinion although disgustingly wrong, and I'm entitled to mine

What do you mean "before the neck"? He came into the league with it. IIRC, he was put on multiple team's "do not touch" list.
He had spinal fusion surgery like the one rookie linebacker Damone Clark had after the NFL scouting combine.

Amazing how most pundits agree with CowboyRoy on both Zeke and Pollard.

Maybe it is YOU that have been proven disgustingly wrong?

Quick recap, but audio above:

- Can run between tackles, but not dynamic
- Pollard is best back
- If they decide to run offense through Zeke, Cowboys are average team at best this year, and will get beat by Eagles and Giants

No lies there....except maybe the Cowboys will split with the Eagles and Giants. Other than that, can't really object.

just for fun, why not trade Zeke for Roquan Smith, this solve some problems.

the Zeke-Pollard debate is over, Pollard becomes a starter at a lower cost and can be given a long-term contract that would tentatively be much less than Zeke's, they save 10M for each year of contract they have with Zeke and you invest in other players, in this case, Roquan, you would have a much better defense, and you could give him a 4-year contract, and with time to think about paying Micah much more when the time comes, with the savings for Zeke would only have to invest another 10M in Roquan.

on the other hand, I don't think that Trevon Diggs has to be paid much, if he asks much better to let him go, and look for his replacement in the next Draft, Trevon wanted to play with his brother, it's better if he leaves if he asks a lot of money. this would allow him to concentrate later on paying CeeDe and later Micah what they are worth.

I think it would be more impactful to have Roquan than Zeke on the team, just imagine that defense....

He just hasn't been that great, has been injured often, and has the whole chronic neck issue. Two different beasts here.

The tape is really different between the two players. Also the media engagement.

Not only has LVE put up some really bad physical tape, but you have to ask yourself how much does this guy actually "love" football.

The position he plays is not one where you take plays off. It is a high impact, literally, centre of the field role, and there is no where to hide.

This is a big year for him, and he has to figure out how much he can give up to the game. If he is concerned about his career longevity, and it impedes his ability to give it all to the game, then he is going to have a hard time being successful in the league where there is always young talent willing to take you on head to head and beat you down mentally and physically.

I agree. JUst saying that Dallas has 21 million in cap space which ranks 3rd in the NFL. We can like it or not but Zeke's cap hit has been managed.

I too am confused about the overall discussions about Zeke and Dak's paychecks.

It is unfortunate that we have paid Zeke so much, but it is sunk cost now. If we had decided not take on the Elliott contract where would we be now?

Would we have drafted better?

Were we assured of having the ability and opportunity to sign Aaron Donald away from the Rams? Could we have pried Tyreek Hill away? Would we have secured the next All Pro Tyron Smith 2.0 in the draft or free agency? Would the Jones boys been actually willing to do that?

How do we know that avoiding certain salary decisions would have necessarily resulted in an improved roster?

We have cap money, and we still have questions on the roster. I have serious doubts that the Zeke contract is the key or primary reason for the Cowboys less than ideal outcomes year after year.

I agree with everything but the last point.

Dak’s much better than Hurts and Jones and that’ll be the difference, just like it was last year. We’ll repeat as division champs as long as Dak stays healthy.

Zeke will hurt us (again) if we pretend he’s our best runner in the playoffs (again).
Seriously, much better than Hurts or Jones??????? After Dakota "TOAD HUNTER" Prescot went MIA the entire second half of last season there is no way in hell he's much better than Hurts or Jones. This dude was paid around $75 million dollars last season for what, to have great stats against toads! He was flat out horrible in the second half, DCs had his number and Prescot couldn't raise the level of his game to beat AVERAGE TEAMS! Dakota " Toad Hunter" Prescot is just another overpaid, over hyped player who can't and won't get this club to the next level.........................It's not in his DNA!

What’s more ridiculous is that Henry will be a primary ball carrier in TN. The offense runs through him. Zeke is an often injured 15 touch guy.
"Oft injured"? Even with a stupid suspension he's played more games than Henry.

People don’t blame Zeke. He has become so irrelevant that he is seldom the blame for the offense. People still complain about his cap hit because it’s beyond ridiculous. In my opinion the offensive scapegoats are Moore, Dak, OL and Big Mike in that order. I blame Moore and the OL most.
No..I mean Zeke's production is all his fault.

If you blame Moore and OL.....why would you blame zeke so much that he's "irrelevant"? If he is...it's moore and O-line that made him that.

We can;t have a fearsome zeke (2016) if Moore and Oline are incompetent.

How exactly does Zeke's contract hurt the team? Is that a serious question? You understand how the cap works right? We are taking an 18.2 million cap hit this year for a TB. The next closest is Derrick Henry at $15 million. When your TB is almost 10% of your total cap space, that's a problem. Someone pointed out we have 21 million in cap space. Great. How did we get that space? We restructured a bunch of contracts pushing cap hits into the future and got rid of a guy like Cooper in order to roll over some savings into next year when we are projected (Before adjustments) to be $12 million OVER the cap.

This isn't even about Zeke. I think it's ridiculous to pay any NFL RB what we are paying Elliott or Tennessee is paying Henry. You see teams win without nearly the investment in that position. You've seen teams choke on big RB contracts - Arizona, LA, Carolina is feeling the pinch with McCaffery's deal. It's just bad business to pay that much for a TB in today's NFL. San Fran ran over us in the playoffs and they have a fraction invested in TBs than we do.

Okay...he makes a lot of money. Who do we NOT have all because of zeke? Don't we actually have open money right now?

If you value our QB....you would thank Zeke. Watch Dak highlights and dare tell me zeke isn;t earning his keep. No...you can;t have a fullback in there, then you lose zeke's REAL function.
