we keep saying this though. I’m victim of it. Walkthrough's are the least of our problems, curtains are the least of our problems, podcasts, selling glasses, calling themselves the Hot Boyz….distraction after distraction we keep saying this but at some point it has to add up.

I think what Ware is saying and wants to do is just get rid of it all. When we win do whatever. But let’s don’t even create a built in excuse. Sure we have poor play in the trenches, bad playoff play, we can go on and on. But when it’s not football related distractions and issues? It’s a problem.
I understand but my problem is DWare did the same thing as a player.......there's a name for this but I'm not going there coz he's always been a favorite of mind. But his take is odd, especially in the same sentence as wanting to join the coaching staff. I think another poster put it best, this generation processes things differently and their ability to multitask is a little more advanced than ours.

One teammate, who doesn't exactly tip the scales in our favor when he's on the field.
your play on the field has nothing to do with what you're seeing as a teammate, it's not really about his play at this point, he was speaking on behalf of Micah being locked in vs spending too much time on the podcast, maybe Micah's play would be better if time were spent on football/prep

 Your play on the field is everything. Ask Jimmy Johnson........your take here is odd. What fans forget is these players are young with high tolerance levels for mistakes. It's how they are programmed. Why do you think many quickly support a teammate who drops a pass, commits a penalty, throws an interception and so on. It's a locker room packed with different cultures and players understand and respect that. They care about their teammate doing his job. Pre-judging or trying to tell another player how to live his personal life........means very little.

Ok and that's fine, but STILL there needs to be a focus on football, the podcast stuff is seen as a distraction, how many people is it really bothering, Hooker was the only one to say something it may be affecting others. You can't be a star around these parts and have this stuff going on, you must have forgotten who he plays for where EVERYTHING is looked at with a wide opened lens than other players on other teams

Do you honestly believe Micah is on his podcast when he's supposed to be working out, studying film, or practicing? Micah wants to be the best, and he's shown that he knows how to accomplish that. Hell, the guy missed time due to an injury, and still racked up 12 sacks. He still gets pressures, even when double and triple teamed. He gets tired in some games, after competing against opponents who outweigh him considerably, even individually, much less having to fight through two or sometimes three at a time.

Micah's podcast is the least of this teams problems.

What evidence you have it's a distraction to anyone other Hooker and some fans. Hooker can only speak for Hooker so that's not carrying much weight. Or he's not focused on football? "seen as a distraction" .....by who??????

I'll never understand the hate for the podcast. It's not like he's skipping meetings, training, etc to do his podcast. I'm sure he spends very little time on this during the season. It's really no different than him sitting down and reading a book or watching a movie. Just a different medium that older people don't understand.

I love all kinds of podcasts . When Parsons pulls away from the team in his shiny new truck as long as he’s not getting into trouble I could care less . He’s like Lamb and Bland Tyler Smith one of the building blocks

It's an obvious and needless distraction during the season. It shows he's not 100% focused on becoming a champion.

Please don't appeal to "athletes are allowed to have a life", as yes, we all know that. But there are actions and mindsets required to become a champion and they must be adhered to in order to make that happen.

If all you want is to be a celebrity then go ahead and focus on golf, Cabo, podcasts, and all that other noise, but don't expect to hoist a Lombardi.
Lol so you know what it takes to be a champion. You won anything os significance. Gold medal? Super bowl. Some here are hilarious thinking they have they have the answers as to how people should live to be a champion

Funny to see Dware trying to be this type of mean guy, when he was here playing he never said a peep or was a vocal leader. Your time is passed my friend! Could have used that 20 years ago!

This logic makes zero sense. We aren’t arguing about Micah posting on a forum or on Twitter. If Micah posted on this site that wouldn’t be an issue.

The issue isn’t focus. It’s the subject matter. Doing a podcast isn’t an issue. Most guys do radio shows. Micah has been proven to be a distraction. Ware isn’t saying this for the hell of it he knows what it takes to win a SB.

I don’t even get why this is even being ignored. Tell you what to and tell me what the playoff teams are doing and try to emulate that behavior.
If it bothers Ware he can seek employment as a coach with one of those playoff teams.

I don’t think the issue is Micah though. Micah is fine. It’s the distraction from the team. It’s essentially alienating the team. It’s the same thing Romo was accused of. He’s alienating himself from the team.

Focus? He's made ALL PRO his 1st four years in the league.......how much more focus he needs? I doubt 1 hour 1 day a week has that much impact. Now if you tell it's bad form or causing some uneasiness among teammates, then yes he needs to get rid of it. Simply put IMO if teammates and coaches don't have a problem, why should fans?

I don't have any issue with Micah working on his communication skills on his podcast.

I am more concerned about his freelance training without his teammates particularly considering his injury last season.
