I don’t mind being wrong if it means he’s helping us win. I just don’t think that’s how it will play out though.

The only thing he improved was numbers and when you break down them numbers you’d see they are type fugazy. It don’t matter what you think it’s whats actually true. He’s average and when he doesn’t have top shelf talent he’s eh and the pro Dak crowd blaming everybody else but Dak. Dak as a qb still hasn’t improved don’t let numbers you obviously aren’t putting into context fool you.

There are several huge holes in Gottlib's thinking. First his ask any pundits about Tua. The same pundits that had raved about other QB's like Mariota or Lynch or how about the overall #1 pick Russell. All the supposition about any college player is just that. Then not only is he suggesting to give up VALUABLE draft choices this year and next, but also could throw in Smith from just the unit that ALREADY has the most needs to have to fill. So trade a defensive starter and waste the high draft picks SERIOUSLY hampering the Cowboys from drafting starting help for the defense. They just let Prescott walk. If we are to believe his pundits on this then why shouldn't we believe those same pundits that have said there has been very good progress made by Prescott and that his further or better progression was held back by having Garrett has his head coach. Oh did I mention that Prescott is rated as the #1 free agent and just how many teams let the #1 free agent just walk?

As someone who is really not enamored with giving Dak $35m per year or more, dumping him and using up a ton of draft picks to grab a rookie coming off a massive injury is just foolish.

The way to win in the NFL is to fill out your team with great draft picks. Giving up a bunch on a hope and a prayer is a good way to be a bad team.

Save some of the draft capital and instead of trading up all the way to get Tua just get Justin Herbert who you do not have to go as far up to get. Non-exclusive tag Dak and recoup the best draft pick deal you can get for him and call it a day.

Well said my friend, and I do agree with you on that part.

I do think sometimes as fans of teams we tend to put on horse blinders, I for one am definitely guilty of it.

Glad you can admit it. I’m just like you. I find myself going too hard but sometimes not hard enough. I notice the two positions that people tend to do this for is cornerback and quarterback. We want our corners to get 10 picks a year and want our quarterbacks to throw accurate passes all game.

    What is more likely:
    - Jerry finds a good QB after letting Dak go?
    - Jerry turns a team paying Dak, Tank and Zeke 35% of the cap into a super bowl team?

I would argue both are unlikely with the latter being more unlikely.

Lies, lies, and more lies. We want our quarterbacks to be better than Dak aka Alex Cousins. That means they up stats but if you're actually watching the games know this dudes isn't as good as them fam duel stats tell you. I guess if we were Skins fans you'd been yapping about keeping Cousins since he put up comparable stats to Dak before going to the Vikings or Alex Smith before they got Mahommes? If that's true we just know you can't be trusted to do nothing but stay with the regular degular aka stay with the first girl that let you get a kiss smh.

there are a lot of QBs that have a good sr. year, kind of put it all together and then turn into good College QBs. Tua has not progressed over the years at bama. I am sorry I am just not sold on Tua and see him as a boom or bust, but mostly a bust who will get drafted high, but be average in college. like I said I see more Marriotta in him than anything else.

and my point about the pundits was that there is a lot of them with opinions, including those about Tua, yet you choose to accept the tua reports, and lean towards those that say dak isn't good. I can understand you doing that since you are advocating for Tua and against keeping Dak.

and still yet, Tua is out of reach since he probably will go top 5 since teams like to take chances on QBs. we don't have any draft capital that we can leverage to move up to get Tua and if we do, with as many holes as we have on this team, we will be handicapping ourselves for years to come

I was talking about Cowboy fans. Not you. Your analogy fell short at the end. Your whole post fell short comparing Dak to Alex Smith. Kirk Cousins I will give you. But like I said.....I'm referencing how Cowboy fans are on this site not the trolls on this site like yourself.

I'm not for keeping Dak but I'll take him over Alex Smith or Cousins.

As would I. He's better than both but I can at least see something with Kirk Cousins. There is absolutely nothing in comparison with Alex Smith. He's trying to make that a thing.

You fell short not the analogy. Like I said you would’ve been one of those cats whining about why we didn’t keep Alex Smith sr or Cousins. Better check Smith numbers in KC why did they need a replacement? Goodness knows if average Dak did that you’d be hyping that bs up. Just disagreeing with you little one isn’t being a troll. Step your emotions up sir and stop sounding like a victim.

You only would because he’s the average you know. They all the same player and if Dak ever misses time you’ll see that if they get one of the average QBs in here.

Granted we pissed away first round picks recently...Taco, and possibly Coop.

It could take three 1st rounds to move up to take him, just so he can sit two years?

Not at all. I was a Romo fan. When Dak came along I embraced him even though I liked Romo. Defended him on this site against a lot of you guys who claim to like him now. But I wasn't always that way. I got that way by the time Romo was 36 and it was pretty obvious he and this team had reach its ceiling. I'm not there with Dak yet.

And I don't care about Alex Smith's numbers. I saw him in San Fran and in KC. Use your eyes don't use stats. Maybe you can compare Dak's rookie year to Alex Smith but they are no where near the same player now. Kirk Cousins year when he had Garcon and Desean Jackson go off for 1k yards a piece compares somewhat to Dak.

And you aren't a troll because you disagree. As you can see by the last few posts me and @Fastpitch Dad @Flamma don't necessarily agree on Dak but they aren't trolling. You calling him "Alex Cousins" is you trying to rile the board up like trolls do.

I don't think any of them as elite or close to elite. Which is why I wouldn't give any of them a monster contract. But Dak is more durable, is a better running threat, and rarely if ever throws picks in the endzone. That infuriates me. Dude, just don't throw the ball. Cousins is known for that. Same when we had Bledsoe. I wanted to strangle him.

It would be arguably the dumbest move in Jerry's reign.
