Don't know if it's accurate, but I have heard reports the sticking point in the negotiations is not necessarily the money...it's the length of the contract. Dallas wants a longer contract that the Dak team.
I do agree that it's time to tell CAA that if they cannot come off their "demands" some they will simply tag Dak. Then, in the 3rd round, select Jalen Hurts out of OU. That gives a good QB behind Dak, and if Dak doesn't agree to acceptable terms give the job to Hurts the following year. Dallas has 3 more years of cheap QB play. If Dak does sign, you can trade Hurts.
