Makes you wonder what they think about Wilson, who at least showed a little something last year.

Makes me wonder about Jaylon/LVE/Wilson/Neal. I don't have a sensible way to fit all of them together.

Did we really spend 5mil for a light in the pants Nickel LB coverage specialist trying a new position to cover for our other 7.2mil LB who is a huge liability in coverage? Or do we plan to use him some at SS, where we have a good young player? Or are we moving that young player to FS?

I can't make the pieces fit.

At the moment yes. With Hooker / Kazee I’m happy with. ET just isn’t the same dude anymore and I loved Earl

ET seems a little whacked in the head, but even if he isn't quite the same player, Earl can probably still be a quality over the top single high FS, and that's a special player to bring a defense together.

With the Ravens, he was booted from that position by a younger guy they invested. Doesn't mean he still couldn't do it. He was booted to a new position, SS, and made the Pro Bowl at the new position on a new team. That's not a guy who was washed up.

How is Skip wrong? Where did we make ANY real improvements via free agency? This is essentially the same team as last year minus a couple of contributors such as Awuzie and possibly Aldon Smith, and we didn't even make the playoffs. We better hope Quinn is a miracle worker. Dak's cap hit is relatively low this year and they don't use it doing ANYTHING significant.
