No chance Romo got hammered while playing the State Am. I don't know about Wisconsin specifically, but most state ams have you playing with a competitor, who watches your ball and records your score. He's following you around and watching the whole time. There's also a couple spectators watching the tournament. If Romo was drinking during the round, there are a lot of people who would notice.

Could he have got hammered immediately after the round? Maybe... but it's a short window of time.

We are missing too much information.
We have to know why he was pulled over was he speeding swerving ran a stop sign.

Did another motorist see him do something unsafe and call the cops.
Was he profiled as a celebrity was it a setup.
We need to know how we got to having to take a sobriety test in the first place.

We can't just arbitrarily say he was drinking there are other things that constitute being impaired that probably won't show up on a breathalyzer.
Maybe his blood alcohol level was not over the limit and that's why it was not stated.

Somebody's got to get us some more doggone facts in this case

They don't say and I checked a bunch of different news broadcasts and all they say is he didn't do well with the sobriety check so they arrested him.

There are definitely a lot of other things that could impair your ability to do a sobriety test maybe he took pain medicine for his back since he was having to twist and swing the golf club.

I just don't understand what caused them to pull him over in the first place what did he do to trigger the stop it says nothing about that either

What I find strange is a first OWI offense in Wisconsin isn't even a criminal charge. It's treated as a civil offense.

I have friends who have lived in WI for 70 years. Brats and Beer is like BBQ and Beer down south. Do them not driving after only drinking a 6 pack would be like throwing away their heritage. Not saying its right, but up there its differenct then most places.

It's just crazy these days that people don't call an Uber/Lyft every time they go out and drink. Paying $15-20 for a ride is a lot better than $10-15k+ to make a DUI go away.

ESPN knew they were firing him long before now. That’s not how a business should be run. I’m sorry. On the field hate I get but he’s no longer a Steeler he’s a man and a father now.

Oh I don’t know what companies you’ve worked for I’ve actually worked in HR and we would never handle a firing like this in fear of retaliation or someone coming back as a disgruntled employee and putting people at risk.

When firing someone you always do it the most respectful way possible. And there’s even more at risk here being you’re firing him in front of millions.

So yeah it’s easy to say “man up” but it was reckless and completely unnecessary and if I worked there I’d be pissed.

It doesn’t cost anything to be respectful. You don’t even have an argument other than “we all go through it”…we all go through a lot that doesn’t make it right.
