Frankenstorm

DC basically cancelled everything today. But I'm thinking they will have to do the same tomorrow.

All the schools are closed in the Richmond and surrounding area. It's raining here now but supposed to pick up in the evening.

I don't know how much of a "Superstorm" it will actually be, but it looks scary as hell. Prayers to all of those living on the East Coast. Light em if you got em and keep your head down.

The board walk at Battery Park. The storm is still a few hours away too.

The island of Manhattan is going to shrink!

Yeah just heard that on the news. I'm concerned about Manhattan. Things could get real ugly there.

Ellis Island will probably end up submerged.

I wouldn't doubt it. These storms never come during the day. They always come at high tide.

We've already perched every thing up on stools on the lower level our house. It will definitely flood with this one.

A comparison of last years Irene and this years Sandy. This bugger is massive.

from WSJ? they had a good display of the comparison in an article this morning.

The wind is getting REAL crazy around here and the storm won't be here for another 6 or 7 hours(this time I'm right about when the storm will be here). I live near a small patch of woods and branches are already breaking off and falling down.
