What a coincidence that the Seahawks traded Geno, and then quickly signed Darnold. Hmmm, I am thinking they had already reached a deal with Darnold before trading Geno. How does the league allow this stuff? Is that tampering> I know Darnold's deal expired, but was he free to negotiate as soon as the Vikes season ended? Or did he need to wait for the date to hit?

Trading for someone doesnt mean you dont use FA. The best teams use all three facets of team building.

because trading before guys before they are cut is just insuring you get the player. like i said, it's technically true, it's just misleading.

This is genuinely how they think. I couldn't believe our highest FA in the last DECADE was Hardy for 6 million... It's just awful, and requires absolutely nailing every draft .. which can't and don't do.

This what people will say this time next Monday too, when we've yet to sign any free agents.

This is the team now. Skip free agency, head into the draft with 6 major needs, address one or two, and then come training camp, realize you don't even have enough bodies to practice, sign a couple bums off the street and then blame Dak for whatever happens between September and December.

Round and round we go!

282 mil min cap, with non fixed salaries...

I think there's too much money in sports in general, but yea, the contracts will shoot up when the cap rises like crazy.
