Uhhhh I wasn't for paying Gregory either so I don't know why you quoted me with that.
Because ‘they’ were.

It seems to be a move they’ve lucked into but won’t take it. You lose Gregory and a better player pops up and a team needs to get rid of him. Seems like the Robert Quinn move I think a lot of us been hoping we can duplicate. He’s expensive but I honestly don’t care. You’re in win now mode you shouldn’t care about years down the line.
Right and the more options available the more I wonder why were teams willing to spend so much on Gregory?I agree completely. The guy is a far better pass rusher than anyone they have or had in the past several years. In a different stratosphere than the guy you almost paid $70 million.

Are we linked to any DTs?
Because if we aren’t that is idiotic.
Gotta account for half the AAV in the Gregory deal going to Armstrong the next day.....which is my biggest problem of the entire offseason thus far.Less than $35 million over the next two years. The split is awkward and would need to be worked out, but the overall costs aren’t that bad. Not when you were going to pay Gregory $14 million a year.

So you want to sign Kearse AND one of those 3? SmhIt's about time. Now add another young SS:
1. Deshon Elliott
2. Terrell Edmonds
3. Ronnie Harrison
Don't hurt your neck lol.So you want to sign Kearse AND one of those 3? Smh
So you're cutting mukuamu then? That would be dumb as hell. We aren't keeping 5 safetiesDon't hurt your neck lol.
Upside probably.Right and the more options available the more I wonder why were teams willing to spend so much on Gregory?
Kinda tend to agree here. If they go heavy at corner with a tweener that can play, maybe but I'd feel alot better with Kearse or another strong vet on board. Hooker and Wilson both have struggled with injuries. On paper I love the duo but it's asking too much to expect both to stay healthy.Cowboys play 3 safeties a lot, and Dono stays hurt. It's dumb as he'll to think Mukuamu is a player of significance at this point.
I say he’s good as gone and focus elsewhereKearse saying on Twitter when asked about re-signing with Cowboys” God had other plans”. Either he’s the biggest troll or he’s telling the truth.
I believe him but I wonder who would sign him? Well this is assuming he’d ask for a big deal…..I can’t see teams using their cap space on him and that would suck if he’s had for nothing….but at the same time….something tells me they bring him back. I feel like if he was gone we would’ve heard about it by now.Kearse saying on Twitter when asked about re-signing with Cowboys” God had other plans”. Either he’s the biggest troll or he’s telling the truth.
But see to me based on what he got the Von Miller deal doesn’t look as bad. I shouldn’t be shocked but at his age and lack of performance I’m just shocked but maybe they feel no wear and tear is there. He did come considerably cheaper than other options. Chandler Jones was at $17.5 as I recall, and Von Miller even more. And I’m not sure the Vikings had Hunter on the market when they did.
But I do think Denver is overpaying and I’m glad we didn’t.
He’s 30 though. And I get there’s not much wear there but for the most part he’s never shown anything that resembles consistency.Upside probably.
IF he ever stays on the field for 17 games AND is motivated he can make a serious impact.
Those are two large IFs though.
Other GMs hired to win now take that shot. We don't have such problems.
