Because it represents what we've done in the past....Gerald Sensabaugh, Ken Hamlin.....one year wonders at the position.

Kearse to me is like Dalton Schultz. Productive. Probably a good player. But I see better players out there I don't get not trying to improve on the position.

Eh, I'll admit I'm no expert at safety play but Kearse is more of thumper than those other guys. Again, with the Schultz reference, Kearse isn't going to cost you that much comparatively and his position is more critical to the defense than Schultz' is to the offense, IMO. Throw in that he's a leader and a dawg and I think you make him a priority for continuity's sake vs. gambling with another. I think Schultz is more easily replaceable.

I agree with that but I also think he is of more value in this system and other teams see that.

Teams are throwing around stupid money to get better and if he had offers along the lines of what he wants he would be long gone.

He needs to be here and we need him, they just need to reach a fair number.

Unfortunately that may be less than what Hooker got which isn't really fair based on last year......and therin probably lies the disconnect.

But the guy has been a backup most of his career. I’m not saying don’t retain him but if his salary demands are extreme I understand why they haven’t signed him yet. He’s not irreplaceable….

Schultz would have continued to be a backup also if Jarwin wasn't a regular on the training table. Sometimes all a player needs is a chance. Demarco Murray was backup to Felix Jones at a position that should be all about your performance. It took Jones getting hurt to reveal that Murray should have been starting from jump. Tom Brady too for that matter. It happens.

Everyone knew his contract was easily restructured....had to be something else with Cooper and the team.

It's called stupidly letting personal get in the way of business. Was Cooper overpaid? Yes. Was he the best receiver on the Cowboys? Yes. Are they better without him? No.

LOL. The Browns stole Cooper from us.

Everyone excused the low compensation for the trade arguing the contract was too burdensome for a team to give up anything of value.

Cooper’s contract was an easy restructure for any team taking him on.

Jerry and Stephen got taken to the cleaners in that trade.

Ya all the other 30 teams were calling offering better picks right. We just chose to decline them. We will be fine without Cooper let it go.

We better get another tackling machine LB than. He Parsons and LVE led in tackles.

My highlight of the off-season so far has been Connor Williams leaving lol. Signing JC treater would provide some hope. I know he has injury concerns but he played great last year. Please end the Biadaz experiment. A run blocker C who can’t run block.

I am cool with this but something tells me they like Biadaz and will stick with this experiment.
