Hard to draft BPA when you turn over your roster this much in FA.

All 4 starting DBs gone the same offseason? Doesn't really matter who we bring in-- we will be taking a step back in terms of our secondary.

And we still have holes at DE, OT, LBer. You simply cant fill all your holes via the draft... This has turned into a really disappointing offseason.

The free agency strategy is something that will be easy to look back on as a failure unless they absolutely nail the draft.

Amazing how we always seem to get arrogant the offseason in which we make the playoffs.

I think they need to consider giving comp picks the same year you loose someone. The idea you could loose 4 players out of your backfield is insane. You are looking at playing a crapload of rookies (if you even have the picks) or cast offs from other teams.
If our GM were up to the job we wouldn’t be in this position.

Why should the NFL bail us out?

You guys are mentally ill. You really are. The Cowboys have three cornerbacks who have proven they can play in this league on the roster in March and that's like crisis mode around here.

Get down with your sickness.

I think Corey White would be a good, cheap pickup for insurance. 26, good size, can play any backfield position. Familiar with the organization.

I'm sure he'll wear a suit this time.

PFF Best Available CBs:

Darius Butler -
Nickell Robey-Coleman
Deshawn Shead
Brandon Flowers
Leon Hall
Alterraun Verner
Sterling Moore
Darrelle Revis

Darius Butler - Signed with Colts
Nickell Robey-Coleman - Too short, sorry.
Deshawn Shead - Bad knee
Brandon Flowers - Too old and short
Leon Hall - Too old
Alterraun Verner - Possible
Sterling Moore - Seem to hate him for some reason, perhaps insulted a Jones family member at one time or another
Darrelle Revis - Old, expensive and questionable if he really wants to play

Yah... arrogant and we also over compensate for our mistakes. We overspent in the past, so now we refuse to truly leverage free agency to acquire talent.

We just use free agency to plug holes. As Parcells said-- this is the talent acquisition business-- whether its draft or free agency, you better be focused on gaining more talent or you will never succeed.

At least they are learning not to overpay older players.

Plugging holes is what we always seem to be doing. Last year was the first season we seemed to have very good depth over most of the roster.

Normally, the MO is to look over the roster and if there is a "starter" there, oh well, the "roster is set" and onto the next leak in the dam.

Walk past the crack, stick our finger in the holes.

It has happened after every season in the post-Johnson era where we have actually made the playoffs. And even in some years where we did the 8-8 lose in the final game routine.

Just part of the issue with how they look at getting talent. Competition is given lip service and they absolutely hate taking a chance on a veteran and when they do, they hate the idea of admitting a mistake even more.

At least they are learning not to overpay older players.
So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Really bad FA with a really deep CB draft... I have a feeling there will be more CBs draft in the first 3 rounds then any draft before.

Would really like to trade down.
That's my idea. Someone will fall or we just for a cb and safety.
