The guy for what? more 8 and 8 seasons, and missing the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years.

And what you think some rookie quarterback is gonna come in here and do better? You're outta your mind if you think someone like Tyler Wilson or Tyler Bray is gonna lead this team to the playoffs.

He's been the starter for the majority of the season for 6 years and they've made the playoffs 3 of them. The team has averaged about a 10-6 record with him as a main starter and they've never had a losing record.

You (and many others here) make it sound like 8-8 and not making the playoffs is how it is every year with him, and that's not the case.

How many 5-11 and 6-10 seasons preceded Romo in the 10 years prior?

A lot.

8-8 is a reflection of the defense and lack of any reasonable running game. Not Romo.

Well, that is basically what I saying.

8-8 is NOT the norm with Romo. 10-6 is. And really, when they had a decent line it was 13-3 and 11-5 (until playoff injuries).
Also, not making the playoffs is not the norm, they actually have made it half the time (3 of 6 seasons).

And yes, I agree that even those 8-8 are not remotely indicative of his play.
The defense and run game have been atrocious.

Biggest Difference between Joe Flacco:

In 4 out of his 5 seasons as a starter, the Ravens have had a Top 5 Scoring Defense for Joe Flacco to rely on.

In 1 out of his 7 seasons as a starter, the Cowboys have had a Top 5 Scoring Defense for Tony Romo to rely on.

The worst scoring defense the Ravens have had in Flacco's time (12th in the league) would be the second best Romo's ever had.

HTML:
market man, the market. A top QB does not often become really available.

Look at Manning last year; there were SERIOUS questions about whether he would be able to play again let alone at a top level at his age.

But look at the money that was thrown at him.

Tony is not as good a QB of course but he is a lot younger and healthier and real football experts understand how handicapped he was with a terrible O line the last few years.

So on the open free market I could see him getting $20 million a year.
Point taken burmafrd, there really isn't anyone in free agency or the draft that thrills me at all. Makes me wonder..........herchel walker trade two lol

You can put Romo on any team and they would not win anything.HE's A LOSER! and the Cowboys should not extend him.

I've been accused of attempting to make sense of EVERYTHING.

ASSuming your above remark is true, then:
  • A number of stories said other teams think Romo is a pretty good quarterback. That does not mean elite, but good enough to start for many teams.
  • You strongly disagree with those teams.
  • Therefore, those teams have less football judgement than Jerry Jones

Likely? ;)
