If free agency were a bar, the lights just flickered and you are drunk, just hoping you don't end up with a coyote ugly one in the morning.

And not smart enough to go home alone if you cant put it together.

If we sign some slob like Austin Pasztor in a panic, I will lose it. He is the OT version of Nolan Carroll.

he was the worst rate OT in terms of sacks and pressures.
but he supposedly improve greatly over the year last year supposed one of the best players in their O.

The Cowboys 2015 3rd rounder pick 91 overall Chaz Green better get it in gear! Dallas shouldn't have to go outside of the roster to replace Free since they did the proactive move of spending a premium pick on Free's replacement just two drafts ago.

What's it going to be then, eh?

They sort of have to since they overdrafted an oft-injured inconsistent player.

So wait a second...would the FO have considered re-signing Leary if they knew Free was going to retire?

Just speculating but I'm interested in (most of) your opinions.

1. I think it should be Martin that moves to RT...also warrants the big money he is about to get.
2. If not Martin definitely it should be Collins with us needing to only find a guard to fill that spot.
3. If they dont do any of those...then any backup player with the Seahawks or Raiders will soon be on our radar.
You don't move an all pro to a new position where his short arms make him a liability.

Well that frees up 5 mill in cap this year.

And some guys said we were in cap trouble. Haw haw.

Honestly, i think Cleary would be fine at RT. Hopefully Green can stay healthy (who knows).

Can we get through the draft and free agency first?

What I've said is, this thing right now looks like an 8-8 to 10-6 team. The defense is noticeably worse right now, and the looming schedule is much tougher.

Let's see what McClay does to address it. Trades, picks, and free agents are still there to be had.

Besides, I really have no interest in your avatar or sig.

It certainly seems we are putting a ton of stock in the progression of our youth. Which is smart when you get it right and plain wreckless if you get it wrong.

I think Dak, Zeke (if its even possible)Collins, Irvin, Brown, Williams and Mayowa all grow this offseason. The only real loses I see are possibly at Safety and if we dont return at least on CB. Also add in losing Free, but he may not be as big of a loss as it appears on the surface as his play was declining. I feel confident Chaz could provide an equal to better level of play, but when Chaz gets hurt who knows about the back up. If Jaylon balls out then I think we are a better team. All of this said I am not mentioning a single free agent or draft pick.

It is unsettling when you go 13-3 and then lose so many contributors but I am trying to keep in mind the guys we lost are not probowl players. Most did well with thier opportunities but I think the next man up can replicate thier level of play. The best player we lost (Leary) has the strongest replacement (Collins.)

I'm cool giving Green a shot and even trying Collins out there as an emergency fill in. If Collins really can play tackle it would be the best case because it's much easier to have a guard as your weak link and gameplan around that.

If you're so smug and sure of yourself why don't you put your "money" where your mouth is.

Let's make a bet.

If we're better than 8-8 at the conclusion of next season I get to own your avatar and sig from the moment our season ends till draft day. If we're 8-8 or worse you own mine.

How confident are you?

Haha, i offered him the same thing. He refused, obviously.

It's much cooler, apparently, to sit in threads and yell out "8-8", than it is to actually back it up. Then it's, "wait wait wait, let me see where the roster is on game day".

So cool.
