I agree that Seattle will definitely stack the box and contain Murray for most of the game. However, the key is that Linehan doesn't abandon it and make this team one dimensional. They would be playing right into the hands of Seattle if they did that and with that crowd and secondary, it could get ugly. It's what happened in 2012 and we got dominated. Even if the running game isn't working, you have to stick with it to keep their defense honest and keep the option of play action out there.

Only intelligent post I have seen in response to mine. I agree completely, we have to stick with the run even if it isn't working well early on and try to wear them down and eat up clock. I don't think we are going to beat them through the air in Seattle. This game will be a first true test against a very solid team.Seattle's offense could be very tough to stop with the speed and trickery they use every week. I just hope we can keep it close and respectable and have a chance in the end. I don't think we will though.

So why even play the game? Just stay home and eat doritos!!

Because he's not playing, our opinion about the outcome of the game has nothing to do with the actual game. This "so why even play the game" argument is tired and old.

If this is the case, how do you explain Seattle already having a loss? Why haven't they curb stomped all 4 of the team's they've already faced this year?

They're not as invincible as you're making them sound in the above post.

They lost to a very hot team in that teams stadium. They are not unstoppable but they are probably the best team in the NFL and we aren't. Also, they are extremely tough in their stadium. I want the Cowboys to win as much as you do but I'm just being honest. How do you see the game going?

Can you clarify this statement about our run game and Seattle's "weakness in the middle"?

I see their run defense the only kink(not broken but scratched a little) in the chain. They are not mediocre in the least, but I think that is where we need to attack. Run, run and run some more....that might open up some slants and seam routes.

What you call "honest" I call "ridiculous hyperbole". Re-read your post. You're pouring it on a little thick- even for you.

They have the #1 run defense in the league, they haven't even allowed a guy to run over 60 yards.

Ok, you think my opinion is "ridiculous hyperbole" even though my opinion has been proven right over and over again here. What is your opinion on how the game will go?

That will change today I hope, we have the tools to reach 100yds if we stick to it. I am more concerned with stopping Lynch and Wilson.

It may and it may not, but I think Romo is going to have to be the reason the Cowboys win, I believe Seattle will sell out to stop Murray. I'm more concerned with Harvin than I am with Lynch.

Romo said you have to be aggressive and attack their defense. A bit of a clue that we will be taking some chances in the passing game, perhaps more than any other game this season.

Seattle is going to curb stomp us. Their team takes advantage of every single mistake another team makes and we are team is full of mistakes. Romo throws a ball behind a receiver? It will be intercepted no questions asked, Murray doesn't secure the ball in traffic with 2 hands, it will be knocked out AND recovered by the Seahawks, We wait until 1 second to snap the ball... their defense will get a jump on our offensive line, etc. We are certainly headed for a beat down.

If I were putting money straight up, I'd bet to lose. But this is a sadly cynical post.

I feel the exact same way and also feel that will be a big reason we lose.

I don't think we will either, but this is the NFL and you never know what will happen every Sunday. The Boys' could come out and play like they did against the Saints and completely shock the world ... or play like they did last week and get dominated. I thought we were gonna get blown out against New Orleans, but we ended blowing them out so I guess I'll refrain from making any guarantees with this team. I definitely wouldn't be that upset with a loss if we kept it close with them, that would tell me that were ready to be contenders this season. However, I would be slightly disappointed if we get blown out because of stupid mistakes and etc., stuff that the Cowboys have shown to do the last few seasons. A loss though, whether it's a close game or blowout, doesn't matter much considering we'll either be in the lead of the NFC East or one game back by tomorrow morning and were still in October.

When your purpose in posting on a web forum about sports is to consistently be right about outcomes, then it is almost ALWAYS the smart bet to be cynical or negative about your team. Statistically speaking only one team's fans get to be right if they choose their team to win at the end of the year, and unless your team has a history of being completely dominant (such as the Patriots), then it is always the safe bet to say you're going to lose.

I guess what I'm saying is, looking at your team or even life through cynicism will almost always grant you the ability to look/feel "right", but it really isn't any fun for you or for others.

There were a ton of people who got to look right after the Cowboys lost to Minny in 2009. I read a couple of posts that lamented us even getting there because it was "clear" we couldn't go all the way that season, so what was the point? Almost ruined what was, IMO, the best Cowboys season since 1995. I'm hoping this season tops is.

I don't see it as being cynical or negative but rather being honest or real. I'm honest with my opinions and don't let any emotions get involved and that is probably the difference between you and I.

Last week I came on here and said we were going to beat up the Texans. I didn't see you attacking my opinion then. Why not? Because you liked it. Now, I'm being honest again with what I think will happen and you simply don't like my opinion.

Instead of attacking my opinions why don't you just give yours on how you think the game will go and we can discuss who's opinion was more realistic on the outcome of the game?

I don't generally attack any opinion. I agree with you in that I think we will lose. I don't agree that we will mistake ourselves to death in this game - I think the team will be more focused on Seattle than any game thus far, and honestly, I think they don't have the pressure of being favorited, and will therefore have a higher degree of preparation than in other games. I still think they can't keep up with Seattle, and will make maybe a mistake here or there, but I don't think it will be a blood bath.
