13. Saints - Vic Beasley OLB Clemson
14. Dolphins - Trae Waynes CB Michigan State
15. Niners - Ereck Flowers OT Miami
16. Texans - DeVante Parker WR Louisville
17. Chargers - TJ Clemmings OT Pitt
18. Cheifs - Quentin Rollins CB Miami OH
19. Jets - Benardrick McKinney LB Miss State
20. Eagles - Landon Collins S Alabama
21. Bengals - Arik Armstead DE Oregon
22. Steelers - PJ Williams CB FSU
23. Lions - Eddie Goldman DT FSU
24. Cardinals - Eric Kendricks LB UCLA
25. Panthers - Melvin Gordon RB Wisconsin
26. Ravens - Jaleel Strong WR Arizona State
27. Cowboys Trade w/ Indy for RD1 and RD4 pick(both 29th in each round)
27. Colts - Todd Gurley RB Georgia
28. Broncos - Max Williams TE Minnesota
29. Cowboys - Shaq Thompson LB Washington
Adding the BPA and a playmaker to the Lber core to go with Lee and McClain. Lee and Thomspon on the outside the defense will improve so much with the screens and short passes.
30. Packers - Malcolm Brown DT Texas
31. Seahawks - Dorial Green-Beckham WR Oklahoma
32. Patriots - Jordan Phillips DT Oklahoma

RD2 - Preston Smith DE Miss State
In this mock im picking Smith as what i would do if Dallas didnt sign a starting SDE. Smith is big and strong, One of the better run playing DE in this draft. Fight off blocks with his hands so well. Starting SDE

RD3 - David Cobb RB Minnesota
I dont think i will mock another RB. I love everything about this guys game.

RD4(DAL) - Cedric Reed DE Texas
Team him up on the right side with Lawrence. I think in time these two would be fighting for that starting spot. Reed was a monster in 2013, and played 2014 with a torn meniscus. He's had that fixed and has already gone thru rehab. Think he will be a steal for somebody. Hope its Dallas.

RD4(IND) - Josh Shaw DB USC
Like his play on the field. Very smart on the field presence. Learns from his mistakes. One of the guys they talk about being moved out to FS. I can see it, 1 guy who can fill two spots for Dallas in 2015. Would love to see him start out in them sub packages they would take Church out in.

RD5 - Tyrus Thompson OT Oklahoma
You cant have too many OTs especially with Weems who isnt a lock or having showed anything but potential. good to have options. and Thompson has played against some of the best college DEs while at Oklahoma.

RD7(BAL) - Tyeler Davison DT Fresno State
Probably a guy you stash on the PS while he builds up his strength and gets the fundamentals of Marinellis wants for the yr. Much like Bishop did this yr.

RD7(CHI) - Kyle Loomis P Portland State
Bring in a guy who could probably beat out Jones. And you get him cheap for 3 yrs.

Shaq Thompson. Check. Josh Shaw. Check. Nothing else matters.

Also, I think if Mariota slips to #6, the Eagles would move Heaven and Earth to go up and get him.

I really don't see Shaq sliding there. I like Dawson more. Shaq the better athlete. Dawson better instincts and better LB. Lee vs Carter.

Where will the Niners play Flowers? Carolina has two RBS with big cap numbers. Is one a FA or getting cut?

Flowers doesnt do good with Speed rushers but is great vs the run. He's alot better in tight areas. Niners are about to lose Iupati. Could see Niners move him inside the way the Rams moved robinson.

Deangelo Williams is going to be released he's a big cap hit but his his dead money is small.

On Shaq Thompson its going to take the right team to draft him. He is like Melton you have to have the right defense. have you seen how Small Thompson is in terms of most NFL LBers? Think of Thomas Davis. Dont count of alot of teams looking at him. Dawson is a middle of RD2 guy. Why would you take a guy thats probably rated a little less than a full round lower then Shaq? At 29 Shaq would clearly be a great pickup. At 29 would dawson?

So we're sitting there with Orchard, OO, Shaq, Brown, Bennett on the board at 29. Cooper and Dawson underrated at this point.

Those are good options to have considering the D options we've had when we were in the clock last 2 years.

I'd go Orchard there.

Rams just put Robinson there to get his feet wet cuz he was very green.

Dawson is a middle of round two guy right now.

Rollins was a late 2 guy a month ago and I was stupid for taking him in first round in one of my mocks.

Rollins is a rare case. Like donald was. Dawson doesnt have that kind of impact. Your attempt is good but it has no fire lol

20 TFL, 6 sack, 4 INT linebackers have quite a bit of impact in my view.

I really like some of the players you picked.

Shaq Thompson is a great 43 LB prospect and I love his athleticism.

Smith at SDE is a good pick in the second.

Still, I'm not sold that Shaq is going to be that much better than Dawson but IMO there will be significantly better DE's in the first than what Smith is. I'd rather see it fall with Dallas getting DE in round 1, in this case maybe Orchard... and then getting Dawson in the second. I think that would be better for Dallas if it fell that way. Orchard will be a better pass rusher by than Smith by a good bit, but I'm not convinced that Thompson is much better at all than Dawson. Maybe he is and I'm just not seeing it, that is a definite possibility.

Having said that, I would be perfectly fine with Shaq and Smith.

I really like Cobb too. I would be more than happy if Dallas got that guy in the 3rd.

Love Shaw too but I'm afraid he moves up well higher than the 4th. If he was there though... No way I can argue with your choice there.

DE Reid and OT Thompson I haven't studied much, but I will make sure to check them out.

Paul Dawson: 136 tackles, 20 TFL's, 6 sacks, 4 INTs, 9 PDs, 5 QBH, 2 FF, 3 FR

Shaq Thompson: 81 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 INT, 5 PDs, 0 QBH, 3 FF, 4 FR

Personally I would have liked to see far more big plays from Shaq given he had Shelton in the middle and Kikiha off the edge....even Peters being a shut down CB in 2013.

Draft a player in Orchard who is smaller then Lawrence, who wont start over lawrence? And No Lawrence should not and wont be moved over to SDE. Dallas tried that and he was bad. He barely started to pick up the game vs 1 OL on the weakside. On the strong side he will be going up against a T and almost always a TE chipping him. Drafting a player like Orchard only makes a little sense if they didnt have Lawrence. That and Brugler and Broaddus talking about Teams wanted to see orchard as a standup. Orchards legs look like twigs noway can he handle DE in the NFL. Lawrence barely can handle it and he's 260, Orchard is 251 official from the Sr bowl.

Dawson is a Middle guy, with people talking about he could play outside. But most of the teams will be looking for him to be inside. In Dallas' system You dont get any better then Shaq Thompson. He just makes too much sense. The right skills and the right size. I like Dawson but i just like Thompson more. He plays with more tenacity and he just has a better fluidity about him on the field. Everybody knows my first prefernce is Odighizuwa in RD1. Just wanted to get a different look in this mock.

Preston Smith, there arent too many guys rated higher then him that are SDE's that will be in Dallas' range. I only see one and thats Odighizuwa. But he has his demons and thats back to back yrs of high surgeries. Now he came back and didnt show any limitations this yr. But the history is still there. Dallas doesnt need to be looking for a starting WDE they have Lawrence. I can see later in the draft but why waste a pick early when you have a early 2nd round guy you barely drafted a yr ago.

Shaw IMO will be a early day 3 guy. His baggage will be what keeps him there. Another guy in the same mold i been looking at is Orchards teammate Eric Rowe. The guy has some nice ball skills. Another guy who can be a candidate for that CB/FS guy.

Thanks LM I always appreciate your input and work. Let me ask you,
with Gurley still there and MBrown what was your reasoning.

Let me say about the philosophy of not drafting the RB or 1Tech DT in the first is understood.

And of course those ratings are always correct aren't they?

Well its clear you havent watched much of Thompson since ur comparing a MLB and a WILL production. I doubt you have watched much of Dawson either but rather just looking at stats and mocks. they are two different types of players. Shaq is what Dallas runs at WILL a guy who will flow to the play and cover. Washington lined him up on slot WRs just like they did with Carter at times. I think this is what Brugler was talking about fans looking at numbers and not watching the game. Alot of people had this same misconception of Telvin Smith last yr. The guy had a very good yr for the jaguars.

Think Gurley will slide a little because of the injury. But the top teams in the NFL with the legit need of a RB like Indy they will jump imo, and brown i just went by the 3 top needs of teams and looked at their FAs. it just fell that way for me i guess. When i do a mock i have about 10 tabs open on a window. This tab, cbs ratings, draftscouts, nfl.com draft needs, thats a good one. a team FA page usually from spotrac or overthecap, and some mock sites i use to see where the general idea is. and draft breakdown. Its not something i just look at names and insert. Except Cobb lol i dont think i will insert another RB or RD3 pick that isnt Cobb unless Dallas resigns Murray or a bigger back in FA. Takes a couple to a few hrs just looking at guys videos on draft break. I watch alot of that. Kinda addicting.

And dont get it twisted, if Dallas would draft Gurley i would have a big smile on my face. He's going to be a special RB IMO

Come one give me a break. Where in the world was there a mock a month ago that has Rollins in one and where is there one now that has Dawson in one? If they exist I haven't seen it.

I'm not tooting my own horn by I have OCD with the draft. To the extent I used to record 100+ games per year to DVD. Took a 2 year hiatus and getting back into it now.

There are 3 sites I go to. NFLDS, GBN and CBS (the last 2 weeks)

I do my own work. If I wasn't I wouldn't have had Rollins in one then, Dawson in one now and guys like Havenstein and the FB Fowler 1-2 rounds higher than the internet experts.

Given all that I have no clue how you can deduce I'm getting my ideas by seeing mocks on the net.
