The 2013 defense was the worst defense in team history, at the time. Minimal changes were made, yet the 2014 Cowboys were able to go 12-4 with a bad defense which was exposed in the playoffs, when they had to match up against the best. Even then, the offense was very close to being able to carry them, in the playoffs.

I was conversing with another guy about Dak. You swooped in like you knew what you were talking about and mentioned 2014. And looked really dumb doing it.

Defense was 31st in rushing and 3rd to last in picks. They suck. If you like bad defense, good luck to you.

That 2014 defense doesn’t get enough credit because people just chalk it up to them being protected. The defense did a good job of making stops, getting the ball back to the offense and contributed to the offense being able to continue being run first. While they weren’t great, they also weren’t trash. They also made big stops late in games too. And while they came up short in the playoffs, so did the high powered offense who is getting 100% of the credit that only put up 21 points against GB.
