Funny how opposing fans view our team

I don't believe Michael is biased in his analysis of the Cowboys. He tells the truth about our flaws. Some people get his desire for us to win with him being impartial which isn't true if they paid attention to his analysis.

I like Irvin, but he is DEFINITELY bias for the Cowboys. No question.

You do get spoiled if you hang out at CZ a lot. In real life, you're lucky if fellow Cowboys fans know the players on the roster, much less are able to debate their histories and scheme fits. It's not surprising Packers fans have an understanding of the Cowboys that's drawn in crayon. They get their information from other message boards and ESPN.

It's my #1pet peeve trying to discuss the team with a "fan" who only knows Romo & Dez. I immediately dismiss them.

Aikman is a professional. Aikman does what he can to be unbiased and it drives some cowboys fans nuts because he is not like Irvin and it drives other fans nuts because they think he should rag on the team more.

Irvin, as much as I love his love for the cowboys, is NOT the same kind of professional Tony is. He makes no bones about being biased for the Cowboys.
Many cowboys fans love that but they absolutely would hate it from other commentators from other teams.

One of the barbers in the shop where I get my hair cut hates Tony Romo. He's always saying Dallas would be better if they got rid of Romo. I just don't have the energy to even argue with him.

Who is everybody? Nate Burleson and Warren Sapp believe the Cowboys will beat Green Bay.

It's not just lack of information that the casual fan deals with. It's also just a lack of understanding on just how much we live and die with this team.

I remember the father of one of my friends a few years ago asking about the Cowboys. It was during that 2004 season where things weren't going so well. I had made a comment that I was excited about the game on Sunday and he asked why did I bother getting excited for a team that was bad. It's a really hard question to answer for someone that isn't a fan like we are. Yeah, they'll get excited when things are going well and they'll bust out their Cowboys gear or wear a tshirt the Sunday before a playoff game, but they'll never experience the rollercoaster of emotions that we will.

I honestly got a bit choked up this last game when Lawrence redeemed himself. It's not a Super Bowl win or anything, but just being along for the ride through all these tough times? It makes times like these so precious. I truly hope the fans on here don't take this for granted. Even if the season ends on Sunday, I'm so thankful for this season and this team.

I think I luv u :)

It's not just fans. The media is sometimes clueless on what players are having an impact on teams. They know names only.

True, and it's their job to get it right. I guess the media is only as good as the pool they are retrieved from.

Dude i have some many peope like that who I work with here on base. Then when i debunk all of their myths with fact they fall back on the "well he sucks" narrative. It pisses me off.

I read where a lot of people think that we will get blown out at Green Bay or hope that we will. But as long as we can run the ball the game will be close enough to give us a chance to win.

if others peoples ignorance upsets you, prepare for a lifetime of upsetedness. :) one thing you seldom can change is the mind of someone who's already made it up.

Lol my barber is the exact same, I don't know what it is but I've never seen a QB as great as tony that his own "fan base" wants to get rid of him

What's the difference between this year and last year or the year before that or the year before that?

It's interesting how Aikman became better when the Cowboys got better. Just saying. :)

You must have missed it when I pointed out his shenanigans when we went 13-3, 11-5 and under Parcells. Also the part where there were rumors of him possibly taking over personnel for Dallas and he seemed flattered by it.

truth be told. its hard for me to keep up with the inner workings of other teams...

I didn't even know manning was blowing chunks until the last game of the regular season. Man, did he looked bad!

I rely on what reporters say, and most of the time those guys are like politicians, regurgitating talking points...and talking points are usually way, way , way behind what is actually going on!
