Well said...I predict Bledsoe signs a 2 year extension in the off-season and will be our QB through the 2008 season...

Book it!

At least someone else sees it!!

My bad, there is such a big difference between 19 and 20. Your a big boy now congrats. If maturity has nothing to do with age then how are you justified in it being 20 and I am not at 29 when our actions are the same?

The answer is simple you think you know but have no clue. In one breath you say maturity has nothing to do with age to prove you are mature and in the next breath you discredit the comment because you are guilty of the same action.

Maturity comes with age and is never fully realized.

Thanks Dr. Phil

OMG.. This guy is just too rich. I think you know what he means sport. You can like Bledsoe for next year. But guranteed he wont be here longer than next year. So we will all be happy and you will be dissapointed. I think I can live with that. And im a waiting for that day. Heres to a new starting QB SOOON !!!!

:beer1:

Hey D-Boy, ever hear the old expression when 1 person tells you your drunk you might not be but when 2 or more people tell you are then you are. Now look at this thread, almost everyone here thinks your wrong, I highly doubt the majority of the board is wrong and you have this insight that all of the sudden after like 50 years Blesoe is all of the sudden this stud QB. Give it up pal, the guy is average.

Say what you want but without Bledsoe this year we would of been lucky to win 5 games. Then you would be saying the same thing about Romo or Henson.

i'm 40, never claimed to be "mature", and it's "you're a big boy now..."

Bledsoe was more than average this season. With a running game that was dormant for the most part and O-line troubles Bledsoe put up numbers to rank with the top QB's this season. When he signed with Dallas all I was expecting was a guy who could manage the game and I think Bledsoe did more than just manage the games

Billy Madison out-take, actually. I have a sneaking suspicion there's a new generation of sports fans paying attention in school right now.

sorry, but age doesn't have a whole lot to do with maturity in as much as choice does coupled with experience. i've known teens mature beyond their years and adults who still exemplify their ID is sole importance.

then you get those who feel superior enough to correct grammar online.

You're wrong, Mally. Why don't you go check out a buffalo bills board while you're at it?

(now, that's one person telling you...)

in all fairness, the legendary scott david put it like this to me before the season started.

1. he'll win a few for us
2. he'll cost us a few
3. he'll be indifferent the rest of the games in regard to the "deciding" factor.

i don't deny he's won a few for us and had some outstanding games. i don't deny overall his season has been more than i expected.

however, the tail end of the season IS what i expected him to do - falter. looking at numbers and ratings, you can see that. i'm sure those on either side can pull up "running game" this injury or that injury and if that explained THIS year that would be great.

but it's his career and we've got about what you'd expect from drew. bp knows he must keep him protected, knows he'll hold on too long, and has NOT gotten him an OL to counter his "achilese heel" (sp, sorry)

can you build a dominate line in a year? maybe, not likely. 2 years? more likely IF you make good moves now. that said our line won't be what drew needs till drew is about out the door. can we build it up enough to get "close enough"?

we can only hope, love drew or hate him he's all we've got.

I hope all of you realize we have found our QB for the next 3 or 4 years there is no reason to discuss prospects other than to replace Romo or Henson. Bledsoe is awesome and I am glad he had the year he did.

Nuff Said

:hammer:

He will be our QB as long as Parcells is here. Bledsoe is protected by the PPP clause in his contract. Parcells Protection Plan.

I'm not trying to change anyone’s mind about Bledsoe. I like him and think he has done a good job for this team as far as your 3 points that can be said about a lot of QB in the NFL, they all have their bad days. As for Drew career goes I said when we signed I could careless about his past I only care what he does in Dallas and thus far that has been better than average unless you think throwing 22 TD is the NFL average as well as hitting over 61% of his passes. Looking at this season you can put his numbers up against the best in the league and he ranks right up there with them. I do think this season would have been a lot better and a bit easier on Drew had we gotten more production from the RB but the facts are we didn't yet we are still in the hunt for the playoffs and in large part because of Bledsoe.

What are the odds that Bledsoe starts 32 games in a row? I bet they aren't good. I still happen to think Henson can be a heck of a QB, and a few INTs in pre-season aren't going to change my mind.

Bledsoe is as good as the guys around him will let him be. We need to upgrade the OL. We need to replace Keyshawn with a guy who can actually get some separation. We need to get more aggressive, like we did in KC. Bledsoe will be here next year, and possibly the year after that, but he's not going to take this particular team as its currently constituted and take it to the Super Bowl.

The Cowboys had 2 chances to make the playoffs this year. One was in New Jersey and the other was in Maryland. They blew both chances. As far as I'm concerned, the season ended late in the 2nd quarter against the Commanders. Bledsoe will be here next year, but that's no reason not to try and figure out who will be here after Bledsoe. If we don't get some better play at OL, RB and WR, it probably won't make much of a difference.
