nice. So now, we have 3 solid cb's, and one safety we are gonna cut and one we gotta let walk after next yr.

Let's be proactive. If you believe our draft board (i dont put any "ah shucks" mishap beyond good ole Wade boy) on cbs, we are high on kenny phillips. Look, this was a kid, up till this yr that was projected to be a top 10 pick. He didnt have a GREAT yr, but he is extremely talented, good in coverage, and a leader on the field. Lets think ahead. Lets grab him at 22 (28 obviously if we think its possible). Worst case scenario, we got pac and Tnew at CB in 2 yrs, a henry and kenny phillips at safety.

the character issue thing is over rated wayyy over rated .Our team is mostly made of good guys. all we have to do is cut him if he messes up . seriously i dont get what the deal is do you think hes going to influence romo whitten and canty to start hitting up the strip clubs and making it rain. your argument has no substance its just a "popular" thing to say

Nope, I agree, you are right. You can't pass up a CB, if someone good is there for taking. Newman is not getting younger anyway.

Plus you need more than one good CB. Just don't draft like they did, I forget, 2000 or 2001? Taking all those CBs that didn't last?

I don't think the character thing is overrated. Im not worried about his influence. Im worried about the wasted roster spot and possibly lesser backup (because Jerry maybe not drafting a CB in the 1st with pacman) if he gets himself in trouble.

I keep hearing mixed reports that we can trade for him whenever we want or we have to wait until he is reinstated(Mort). Which one is it? It doesn't matter if he is reinstated yet I think for a trade to happen?
