I keep hearing mixed reports that we can trade for him whenever we want or we have to wait until he is reinstated(Mort). Which one is it? It doesn't matter if he is reinstated yet I think for a trade to happen?

the character issue thing is over rated wayyy over rated .Our team is mostly made of good guys. all we have to do is cut him if he messes up . seriously i dont get what the deal is do you think hes going to influence romo whitten and canty to start hitting up the strip clubs and making it rain. your argument has no substance its just a "popular" thing to say

The character issue is NOT overrated in this instance since he has a history of being suspended over his character flaws. I think the "Risk" with Pacman Jones is not how he will affect the locker room or influense the other players on the team. The "Risk" is that he will himself screw up (as he has done repeatedly in the past) and get suspended at a critical point when we are counting on him to play.

With Every player there is the risk of injury and unless there is a history of it then it is not a factor to consider in making a deal. But with Pacman you run the standard risk of injury and the extra risk of him getting suspended and being lost for the season over something stupid.

Is the idea that one can never have enough quality players and if he comes on the cheap, what the heck?

It just seems like someone is gonna be wasted.

If a CB is drafted in round one...and Jones is signed...then someone who is a quality player isn't gonna get much playing time...

If Jones doesn't get playing time, ain't he gonna get kinda cranky?

And if the number one pick doesn't get time, ain't it kind of a waste of money??

exactly! exactly why i think RW is on his way out the door...or on his way to the bench...And we can see henry at FS and Hamlin at SS

or.....Jerry might just say "hey the guy gets hurt to much, cut him" we might cut henry.....idk...either way Pacman will not settle for 3rd CB, just by the way he talks "im better than 90 percent of the guys in the leaugue"

Oh make no mitake, it ABSOLUTELY changes the way we're gonna draft, we no longer need to draft a C.B. in round 1, now we'll still need a few good corners, but no longer are we gonna draft one in round 1 with signing pacman.
My guess is we now go W.R. and R.B. in round 1 or W.R. then trade down with the #28 pick and pick up TWO 2nd rounder (3 total with our own) and then go R.B./C.B. and possibly even C.B. again or a C.B./S. type.
But makie no mistake, if we sign Pacman, we won't be using a 1st rounder on a C.B.!

I really think if we trade for Jones, we arnt drafting a CB in round one, maybe not even round two.

Now they might draft a defensive back, it just might be a safety or a safety/CB tweener and not a pure CB
