I think Wades hates doing pressers probably as much as Parcells liked them. Cuz make no mistake, he DID like them, even if he treated them like dirt in the offseason.

This wasn't a presser. This was a reporter in the lobby wanting a quick word, and Wade wasn't afforded the latitude to do even that. Pathetic.

All I know is every offseason, you could count on one hand how often Parcells spoke to the media. And every offseason, there were almost daily reports about how Parcells hasn't spoken to the media.

Certainly you can discern the difference between voluntarily blowing off the press and being ordered not to talk? Find me another NFL HC who is hamstrung in this fashion.

I haven't seen an owner, in fact, a GM, this involved in the off-field actions of an organization as Jerry Jones, it's ridiculous

And I guess this is where we differ. I don't think he was ordered not to talk. I think he chooses not to and throws the memo out there as his excuse.

It's not unusual for a gag order around free agency, scouting combine, or draft. Parcells did it, Jimmy Johnson did it. Heck, other teams do it.

wrong try again. I am saying part of the reason he doesnt want anyone talking is because someone may slip up and say something he doesnt want out about owens. Its a major part of it.

Parcells operated that way at all times. He didnt speak from the final games pc to day 1 of the draft and then didnt speak again till mini camp pc 1, then dissapeared till training camp day 1. Every year. It was his policy, no one dictated it to him.

Parcells also didnt do reality shows, wasnt a judge on a reality show, Didnt put cheerleaders on the plane to come out first..etc.. Do I need to go on.

There is absolutely zero corelation with Jones and Parcells. None.

There was no gag order last year or the offseason before it when phillips was hired. It was happy time. They talked at the combine, the senior bowl, before the draft and after......and for the record, this is one of the times of the year where other coaches, lower key coaches talk. This is the opportunity many get to talk. So you know...?

Its a temporary thing to deflect the tough questions and yes the elephant in the room is owens.

Maybe Jerry has turned over a new leaf and is going to do away with his weekly tv show and numerous radio shows, he is not going to be a judge and then allow a reality show contestant into training camp, put the newly drafted players on the radio within minutes of the draft....etc....

This is the way an organization should be run all the time, not just when you are losing.

and if it is about avoiding questions about owens, again, the organization is now breaking normal operating procedures to cater to one person.

Funny thing is that the head coach is the guy getting muzzled here. Pathetic reinforcement of Wade's powerless status, but I agree, it would be nice to return to normal channels of communication. It would also be nice to have Jerry cancel his inane radio show, I doubt any other GM's have a weekly show, it's usually the coach that has a spot, go figure.

Then don't watch his team, Jerry is owner/GM that is not going to change. There are things he has done I disagree with and things I do agree with. I see nothing wrong with constructive criticism I don't care much for the pity party BS I see allot of. Oh we can't win, oh we will have a losing season this year but people clearly have the right to say what they feel and think. Myself I think we do have the talent on this team and I think this team will come together with an us against the world attitude, hell they don’t even have fans at this stage in their corner all they have is each other and I that will come through as they hit the mini camps and training camps.
