I hate to say it but if Barber holds out why not bring in S. Alexander?

Agreed, we can make do with Choice and Felix and maybe a street vet looking for a 1 yr run at a ring. I know he play has declined, but what about Stephen Alexander, I dont think he has signed with anybody that I have heard and he did win the MVP a couple of years back.

Choice, Felix, and maybe Alexander could get us by this year. I dont pay Barber $60 mill and if he holds out, *** him!!!
Isn't he a Tight End?? ;)

There is a reason Alexander is still unsigned. He is done.

I hope so. I just hope Rosenhaus doesn't blow up his head with unreal expectations.

Barber is doing the right thing in my opinion. This could be his biggest pay day, and if he lets his morals get in the way, he could be cheated. A 4th rounder that had a great season went to the pro-bowl, tons of high light runs, he has to act NOW.

Now if he were a 1st round pick or something, and had all the popularity that comes with that, he wouldn't have anything to worry about, so I don't blame his agent for making sure he sends a message to Jerry. It's a possible 1 time great pay day for the kid.

That doesn't make sense. So he's not lifting at all to avoid a getting hurt while training?

We don't even have to make him an offer at all. He's restricted. Is he going to sit out the year and forfeit over 2 million dollars this year?

He's going to get his money, whether from us or someone else. I just don't see what these "messages" accomplish. If anything, I like Canty's message a lot better.

You gotta love Jerry's nothing worries me attitude. Whatever else about the man, I admire that about him. He doesn't have a touch sensitive panic button.

yeah, Barber deserves a payday, but IMO if the rumored offer was legit, he should've been more than happy with that. I agree that his time to act is now, especially before the season starts, his value will never be higher.
He had a good seaon but the biggest reason that he went to the probowl was that he played for the Cowboys.

Nothing to Panic about, yeah Barber is nice but I don't think he is worth even the 30 million dollar range. Jerry has options still even if Barber decides to hold out. If I was JJ would call up S. Alexander and sign him to a 1 yr deal. All that pressue is back on Baber. Who wants to cough up 50 mil for a back that has never been an every down back and never had 1000 yards?

Does anyone wonder why he is in Miami? He went to school in Minn. Could Parcels have something to do with him holding out? It was rumored he tried to trade for him.

I disagree with the advice Drew Rosenhaus is giving Barber I think you are better off working with the team than isolating him from the club unless what you are doing to trying to force a trade. Hopefully things will be ironed out before training camp starts

Rosenhaus is located in Florida and has connections there would be my guess.......I don't think BP has anything to do with it
