So did Chris Leak...what's he up to now?

If you can't tell the difference between Leak and Tebow, I cannot help you.

There hasn't been one like Tebow before. And we'll go years and years before we see another like him.

I'd rather cut Watkins we don't need Jason Campbell scrambling on us and running him over again....

Well if Watkins is cut Campbell will just run at Jenkins and Jenkins will side step him like hes a bull

Oh gawwwwwwwwd here we go again!!! The famous Roy comparisons. Go read the negetives on Aaron Curry..go read the negatives on Malcolm Jenkins..Go read the negatives on your boy Jarron Gilbert. I guarentee there will be something on those guys you won't like

There's no pleasing you, it's like the scouting report has to say "none" in the "negative section"

you dont know Jerry/Bob/Summer/Iroot, his "boy" is Ron Brace

What the hell is a "star" safety/corner???

Is this some sort of mutated rover-back, but using a DB instead of a LB???

Color me skeptical, but this is the dumbest thing I have ever hard of. I guess we can try it and see how it goes if Wade thinks it will work.

It just seems like something you come up with when your safeties suck.

Scandrick is decent, but i don't think he would transition well. He's awful small, i would much rather draft a true FS, move Ken to strong, and jus keep scrandrick playin the slot.

......what a joke.

Why? Scandrick played excellent as a nickel CB, which is effectively played the same was FS is played. So why not rry him there to get both of last year's rookies on the field? Jenkins deserves a shot to start also, because he was coming "on" by the end of the season, and that's usually a good berrometer for determining when a young CB as apt to start.

It's basically what Woodson did with Campo in the 90s.

I just got a heads up from Theebs about an interview Scandrick did this morning on 105.3 The Fan where he talked about just that...

The Cowboys are looking to use Scandrick just like Campo used Woodson.

They are sending it to me. Will throw it up on here ASAP.

I think people are getting too caught up in the size numbers of guys.

Mike Jenkins is bigger than Scandrick, but he isn't a harder hitter than him.

Bob Sanders is 5'8 and won DPOY. Ed Reed isn't a huge Safety and he's the best in the game. Polamalu isn't that big either.

Size isn't everything when it comes to where you play on the football field.

Yeah, this makes no sense. Scandrick may project well as a FS, but now we have ZERO depth at cornerback.

Like, no depth at all. This would be really stupid, especially since we passed on Springs and this is one of the worst CB drafts in recent history.

Here's my concern. Scandrick is a tacklin' machine fool at corner. He's fearless, willing to throw his body all around and seemingly always gets up (even if he's a little woozy in doing so).

But while a tremendous tackler at corner, might he not be a liability in this department as a safety? I mean, how often did he have to come in run support as a corner? His great tackles, more often than not, were against wideouts and such if I'm not mistaken.

And as he's banging bodies with running backs more and more, I think with his size the concern of injury then enters the discussion. You reference Bob Sanders as an example of a smaller guy who excels, yet look at how beat up he always is. Might his size have at least something to do with that? I can't say definitively, obviously, but it does seem plausible.

This is just a bad idea. Newman is not durable enough to do this kind of fooling around, nor is Jenkins good enough to assume he'll be a decent starter.

I'm fine with it...just get me Leigh Bodden or at least 2 more corners to replenish the depth..

Are you really that stupid? Any time they go to nickel Scandrick would move to the slot. But by and large 1st and 2nd down the team is in base package so Scandrick would either be on the bench or playing FS. If the coaches think he can play FS then that looks like a pretty good idea. Beats the current alternatives.

I'm against any move that leaves us with Ken Hamlin at strong safety.

And who will you put back there if not him?

draft someone. but if hamlin is gonna start at SS I think we can regularly expect games like Baltimore. Late in the game, needing a stop, 3rd and 1, 50 yard TD:banghead:
