Coming from someone who still believes that TO's fate is still up in the air, I think I can live with your criticism.
TwoDeep3 was so right.

essentially we ended up with choice, scandrick and clevelands 3 for this year from that 4.
Fasano/Ayodele vs. Scandrick/Choice/3rd rounder

Holy cow, I know which one I prefer.

By a mile. But will the whining about a 4th for Fasano and Akin stop? Hell no.

Its the ferguson trade where we got nothing. That was used on walden

Nothing for nothing basically...Ferguson was gonna be cut anyway

Ratliff is eons a better player than Ferguson is, or ever was.

Fasano was gonna be the #3 TE or be released...Ayodele was definitely going to be released.

How anyone can complain about getting SOMETHING, ANYTHING in return for two stiffs is beyond me. Yet we have just that in CZ.

good god, how many times are you going to follow me around and say the same crap?

Ferguson lost his job to tank johnson. This organization believed tank would take the backup role and removed ferguson.

Ratliff was going to be the starter with or without ferguson.

And ferguson brought intangibles to this team.

But please keep referring to it as nothing for nothing, its nice that you think tank is a better player than ferguson.

Yes, he is. By quite a bit.

Says who?

That is hillarious? DOes he have more athletic ability, yes. Is he a better football player? I didnt see that at all.

Fasano will end up with the same or better numbers when his career is over than bennet.

Just because they decided he didnt fit here for whatever the rotating reasons were doesnt mean he cant play. And he clearly showed he can this season.

But please by all means keep telling us how bennett is far better.

Bennett is already a better blocker, that's for sure.

That would seem to be a safe bet.

But, what would Fasano's be if he has to play his whole career behind Witten.

Again, says who? Fasano never struggled in blocking to the level that it has been portrayed as.

The same thing happens with cowboys fans with every player.

When they are here they are hall of famers and the minute they are somewhere else they punch about 50 holes in the guy, and the new guy playing his spot is now flawless.

The running game didnt look any better or worse to me than when fasano was out there being moved around blocking.

To me, in the end they will have similar numbers or fasano will have better numbers. Fasano was a hard working, quiet team first guy. Those types of guys always play for a long time.

And FOr what its worth, I like bennett. I would draft another tight end if there was one there that could play. I think tight ends are crucial in winning because of all the little things they do. I just dont see the guy as that much better than fasano with the exception of straight ahead speed.

He didnt play behind witten, he played as the second tight end and the H Back style tight end for us.

Bennett is playing behind Witten and will for the majority of his career - if he stays here...

Fasano has no one of Witten's caliber in front of him...

Therefore, Fasano's numbers should be better. If Fasano had stayed here, his numbers would not be as good either.

I was against the move when it happened. Thought it was just bonkers. I thought Fasano was pretty good (still do). But he wasn't a good blocker here at all. He could have improved on that a lot, hell Witten wasn't that good at blocking either early on.

Tank Johnson was also quite a bit cheaper. Paying several million for a backup 3-4 NT is not good football sense

Ratliff was going to be the starter with or without ferguson.

no doubt about that

And ferguson brought intangibles to this team.

like what? and whatever it might have been, it wasnt worth his cap charge

But please keep referring to it as nothing for nothing, its nice that you think tank is a better player than ferguson.

I dont think I've ever suggested Johnson was better than Ferguson. Ferguson wasnt worth the money, was old and coming off major injury. Thats why they got rid of him. And thats why I say Ferguson for a 6th rd pick was nothing for nothing in that case. They were never going to keep him at his salary.

Fasano was a JAG here. Bennett didnt play anywhere near as much as Fasano did in Miami last yr and their numbers were somewhat similar, and Bennett was an upgrade as a blocker. In the longterm if Bennett works hard, he will be a significantly better TE than Fasano.
