FWST Blog: Wade High on Jason Williams

So buffalo sent him packing because he was starting crap in the locker room?

I had not heard that.

Roy Williams has a job and TO doesn't. It has a little to do with his declining play, but it hasn't declined to where he isn't starting caliber with bums like Williams starting in the NFL.

Why does your hero keep getting shipped off teams?

Can you answer that?

Or try the coastguard .... they will take anyone.

Just because you like Cormega don't make you gangsta.

Actually Coast Guard is the stingiest because their fleet is so small.

You should try growing your fleet then.

We didn't get to see much of the kid but a couple of things were obvious. He hits with power and has great closing speed. Those are two very good qualities to have as a linebacker - he needs to learn the mental complexities of the pro game given his small school background. I also remember hearing that he didn't even play a traditional LB spot - almost more of a rover in some sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if he hardly sees the field this year either. I'm hoping he can take one of the ILB spots in 2011 assuming we play football. I still think we probably need to draft another potential ILB this year maybe in the 3rd or 4th round to begin grooming for the future.

I agree. Hopefully, his play eventually reaches his potential. He should, at the very least, be a good special teams player this year. A guy with his size and speed should excel on ST.

I think last year's draft class has the potential to be very solid.
Phillips and Beuhler have already proven that they have value.
I think there's a good chance that at least 2 of the LBs (the Williams' perhaps) and Hamlin have a good chance to be players. That would be 5 players from one draft. Throw in Ogletree and that is a solid haul when you consider the draft is 7 rounds.

We shall see, but I certainly haven't given up on that draft.

I was kidding. Just don't see you much in the off season.

Or when we win.

Not much going on this offseason.

As for you last comment, not sure what that means. I'm here every week during the season.

It means I am busting your chops. Why so paranoid all of the sudden? Oh wait, I know where you hang out normally. I get it now.

Exactly. I know better than to try and discuss football with you, so meaningless babble happens.

Yeah, he's a good guy though. Many of them are. Just don't diss Taylor Hicks.
