none of my comments said "screw TO, that loser" -- I spoke to the importance of vets like him being here and indicated over and over that IF there was a legit excuse I'd happily give him the benefit of the doubt. I jumped to no unreasonable conclusions, only said unless I heard a good excuse I wasn't giving him a pass.

we RARELY have the entire facts about anything regarding the team, e.g., what coverage was called for, whose was at fault for a bad play, why a player is doing better or worse than in the past.

Whatever -- you try to paint me as a TO hater -- you better do so homework on that because you won't find that I am. I do have a real problem with players missing time -- TO has an excuse -- and its the first legit one that I've heard this off season.

which is why you wait to get all the information

and the team isn't going to excuse a player from mandatory camps just for anything, and a player like TO, who works as hard as he does, never asks to be excused from these things

I said it was a legit excuse. you problem continues to be what? that I noted that UNLESS THERE WAS A LEGIT EXCUSE I WASN'T GIVING HIM A PASS.

again you should read the actual posts -- I spoke to how important it was for TO to be at camp, something that few reasonable people can deny. and that unless there was a legit excuse he should be there.

So, according to you, folks can't post on anything, even if they qualify their remarks until every single fact is in? Fascinating criteria to apply.

as I noted there was a situation last year that caused concern (TO missing some OTAs) and the earlier issue with missed OTAs that made me reluctant to give unconditional acceptance -- all there in the original posts

Apparently abersonc isn't man enough to stand up and say I shouldn't have said anything which could be taken as critical of TO missing a mandatory minicamp without knowing all the facts. One would presume that's how you would wish to be treated if you in similar situation but then like I already said a real man stands up and takes responsibility instead of making lame excuses.

BTW: he wasn't the only one on this board who essentially posted a comment which indicated TO had no right to miss this minicamp unless it was legit. The point is you were all quick to judge TO was in the wrong. Now you are left to crawl back on the limb you just cut off. Good luck but try to do it w/o making a further fool of yourself.

Why didn't you copy the first two posts you made on the subject which in effect said "great, get paid then miss work" implying that he was dogging it now that he got a contract extension. And the second was to the effect that Owens needed to be there to set an example for the young players.???? You didn't start qualifying your position until people called you out for a knee jerk reaction.

Again the setting an example for the younger kids issue remains -- that point was expanded on in several posts.
