In one of them, his body is being taken away in an ambulance and rebels are celebrating to the camera, you can see blood dripping down the back of the ambulance. There are so many in it, they couldn't close the doors.

Those shots look post-mortum, Hos.

Edit: nah...lack of wounds to his chest suggest he was definitely executed. Either that or he was beaten to death, and the gunshot wounds added post-mortum to make it look like he was shot.

Before. There's video on BBC of him being dragged off the top of a pick up truck still alive and beaten pretty badly.
