I'm thinking the next one to fall will be Bashar al-Assad the president of Syria

I don't think al-Assad is going anywhere anytime soon. Not unless NATO decides it's going to start flying over Syria and bombing the piss out of Syria's assets on the ground. Not bloody likely. The Syrian military doesn't show any signs of breaking with al-Assad, so that's out as well.

As for Ghaddafi, it blows my mind that it's taken this long for him to fall out of power. When I was a kid growing up, Ghaddafi was America's #1 enemy. He was the Bin Laden of the 1980s, and even became a bit of a pop culture figure with all the jokes on the late-night talkshows and Saturday Night Live. I was sure that the US would have found some way to knock him off the throne. And then came the 90s, and he just dropped off the radar.

Depends on the ongoing protestors in Syria. With so many uprising in that part of the world taking place I would not feel very safe if I was a dictator

So far they're expecting as much...

Syrian protesters to Assad: You're next

(CBS/AP) BEIRUT - Inspired by the scenes of euphoria in Libya, Syrian protesters poured into the streets Friday and shouted that President Bashar Assad's regime will be the next to unravel now that ousted Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi is dead.

That is the fear Bashar has to deal with as his people become embolden due to what is taking place around them. Had Qaddafi managed to crush the rebels it would have given people in the region 2nd thoughts but when they see what happened to Qaddafi the feeling becomes why not our country

I personally think Bashir is going to fall. It's not about the rebels it's what numerous countries are doing under NATO. Qaddafi only fell because American Predators, then French jets blasted his convoy.

that is because the nut got cautious and was very quiet for a long time. You notice that he was very much not in the news like he had been in the mid 80's.

True. And firing on civilians, like Syrian troops are now doing.
Soon enough it'll be a 'humanitarian need' to go into Syria and knock out Assad.
